That's awesome! But full disclosure - I joined in 2000 and have never taken a hiatus, so I have been active in some sport or another on the site for 25 years now! I like to think I hold the record for most continuous years playing? - but I don't know for sure.

That’s cool Davis. Did you know the original Devs? A bunch of guys I knew on here when I first started were from Cincinnati and used to get together with the Devs.

Yes. They used to occasionally have get-togethers at Reds games every so often. I’m still in touch with a couple of them but it’s been a long time since I’ve seen any of them. Good times!

I joined WIS in 2003 ... so I've got my 20 years too.
Only played Sim League Baseball at first. Not sure when I switched to Hoops Dynasty but have been only playing Hoops for quite awhile now.

that account dates back to April 24, 2002.

I'm right there with you. Joined in February 2008. Originally got pulled in because of the sim matchup simulator for historical teams. Wanted to play GD, but all worlds were full, so I decided to dabble in HD and never left lol. Crazy part is I finally got into GD on a free trial and it couldn't hold my interest because HD was so much better imo.

My join date is June 11 2001. I was under the impression when I joined that WIS had only been around about a year, so I am thinking if you are 2000 then you likely joined shortly after WIS became in creation.

I remember hearing Lance McCallister talk about it on one of the sports talk stations, that's how I found it. Yes, it was the very early days!

Truly legendary status. A Hall of Famer for sure. Congrats on the accomplishment. We will have to drink and talk about our WIS careers one day at a bar or one of our homes.

Great old timers thread… Thanks everyone for chiming in. I remember a lot of you from way back. It’s crazy how many of us stick around here.

I’m still having fun so hope to be around awhile longer.
