I'll be dropping in every other Wednesday to let you all know what we're working on and the progress we're making. Thank you for the overwhelmingly positive feedback over the past month since we announced the acquisition. There's a lot of work to be done, but we have the right team in place, and we're fired up about the future of WhatIfSports. I'm a little less fired up that I completely bricked my recruiting class in Naismith, but that's another story...
- Next Tuesday, December 17th, the site will be down as part of the transition away from SportsHub. Nothing will look different from a user perspective; we're just moving from SportsHub's servers to our own. We're going to pause all worlds and bump the schedule 24 hours.
- We've spent the last several months evaluating what we have and the best plan moving forward. The reality is the codebase for WhatIfSports is outdated - this inhibits our ability to deploy game updates and add new features.
- We fully understand game updates need to be made - that was a driving factor in wanting to acquire WhatIfSports - there is so much room to grow. We firmly believe modernizing the codebase is the best thing for WhatIfSports in the long run and that is our immediate priority. Modernizing the codebase will allow us to be more agile with game updates and new features. More to come on this.
- We're working on a user feedback platform. This will allow us to share roadmaps and collaborate with you in real time. We'll be introducing that soon.
