I know it happens at the 1A level but I don't think I've seen it at Div 2.....my stud MLB walks off in his upcoming senior year....started every game, just said SEE YA! Really kicked my squad in the balls......anyone seen this before?

I think so bag....I usually red shirt one linebacker a year....not sure, just leaves me starting a true sophomore this season which SUCKS!!

I took over a d2 team and the junior qb who would be a senior I planned on starting, just left also. But he didn’t play much the previous season under previous coach

I thought I had heard that WIS disabled the 'players leaving early' part of the game. They removed injuries a long time ago, because some coaches were getting really upset when the contending teams that they had built were getting derailed by a critical injury. And then I thought I read here in the forum, in the last 12 months or so, that they had likewise removed the chances of players leaving early. ...But apparently not.

nope....this guy was a three year starter...played great for me...then SEE YA!! Oh well, someone will have to step up. He did leave me a nice e mail saying how much he loved playing here...THEN BOLTED!! LOL

Ragin, that can be a good thing. Now you have chance to play younger player that will grow faster than he would have if he was a backup. Always love to play my younger players as much as possible . Thats how to strengthen your team. Trick is of course to make sure you can still win since at d2 vision is so important. I kind of miss GD but I hated having to keep looking each round to see how recruiting went. That I don't miss.

appreciate the offer. But I am happy to miss out on all the recruiting sessions. Wouldn't mind a once a day but every 3 hours , I am over that.
