After a long run of contention, last season was year 1 of a re-tool. The ML team had a $74M payroll, and has $35M committed next season. The team was just below average in runs scored, average in runs allowed, and poor defensively (using +/-). The team has all its prospects, including a few acquired through trade the season before, and dipped its toe into the IFA waters. The team was previously owned by the same owner for 16 seasons, but in need of someone who wants to complete the rebuilding process underway.
