Past Present Future is at the end of our 11th season and starts next year's draft on October 31. We have one openings for an excellent franchises - the Philadelphia Phillies.

In this league, you get to advance with a real life franchise year to year, while making them much more competitive each season - adding 10 players from various teams and eras. It's much simpler than it sounds and quite a fun mix of consistency and novelty!

NO to DH, WW, trading. NO salary cap, NO I/R or keepers lists.
25 players, 5/4 AAA of up to 9 real life players (although you won't likely need them)
Use the stadium your franchise did in real life in our given year.

2) Add 2 players - 1 hitter, 1 pitcher - from the 2011 version of your franchise. (Future)
3) Add 2 more players - 1 hitter, 1 pitcher - from the 2001 version of your franchise. (Future)
4) Draft 6 players in the league-wide six round draft.
--You draft 2 players - 1 hitter, 1 pitcher - from the distant past, in this year from 1914. (Past)
--You draft 4 players - 2 hitters, 2 pitchers - from the 10 unused franchises in 1981. (Present)

FRANCHISES in the league
AL East: Boston, Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland
AL West: Chicago WS, Oakland, Houston, Kansas City
NL East: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York Mets, Montreal
NL West: Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Atlanta, San Diego

Unused Franchises, whose players are available in the draft:
Angels, Yankees, Brewers, Rangers, Reds, Cardinals, Giants, Blue Jays, Mariners, Twins

Draft order is from worst to first, based on real-life 1981 regular season records.

Every season, we advance by one year. Franchises and old-time players advance by one year. The 4 time traveling players from your franchise move back one year. (e.g. next year, you'll have your 1982 franchise, and the 2 players from 2010 and 2 from 2000.) And the 6-round draft will draw from all 1915 players, as well as unused franchise players from 1982)

This league was founded by fatguyrd, who recently passed away. We continue in his memory and because it's a great league, an interesting concept with a very short draft every year.

The Phillies are VERY competitive for many years to come.

I'll post here how the 1981 squad is shaping up. The whole 80s is a good decade for the Phillies too. Having a superstar like Mike Schmidt, and solid players from your future teams, goes a long way!

In 1981, you start with Steve Carlton, Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose and others that will form a useful core to this team.
The players you can access from future Phillies franchises are very valuable. 2011 SP Cole Hamels is an ace.
Add the six free agents, and you should have an excellent team.
