Crossover 53 began in 1901 progressively and 2006 regressively and is now progressing into the 1994 season and regressing into the 1912 season.

The two teams are below and we are looking to start the upcoming draft off the clock for these two seasons this next weekend.

No plans have been made as yet as to what we will do when we hit the 1900 season regressivley but my first thoughts are to regress to 1898 and then start progressing forward from that season and regressing from 2008.

I added Injured Reserve players and players in the "minors" to each roster. Players in the "minors" are up to 3 players a team may like to stash away for later that have an active season but maybe not a good one but they have a future worth keeping without tying up roster space during the draft and following season so a team may always keep building. Since this is a dual progressive there have always been plenty of players available.

The only condition to keeping players in the minors is that they are titled correctly as Minors and not AAA (as we use AAA) and that they are tracked as they are only allowed to be in the minors up to 3 seasons when they then must be activated unless they run into and IR season.

The Boston team drafts 7th and the Belfry team drafts 2nd and is in the lottery. I am also in the lottery so will have someone else run the lottery very soon. I am all set besides the lottery to run the draft as soon as we get two owners.

The Belfry team won the lottery so whoever is taking this team will draft 1st overall. I would like to start the draft soon so if you were waiting to see if you would have to 1st overall with this team the wait is over.

I'm going to go ahead and pick for Belfry as I don't want to delay the draft as long waits are not what this league is about. All pre draft rosters have a deadline for posting as is the norm in both leagues I run and we have a first class owner list because of the way I run things, swiftly with no long off the clock periods.

A a good friend of mine said once. "Drafts can be the best or worst part of a league." That owner was Bootone and he plays two teams in this league, one in the NL and one in the AL. He also runs the best drafts I've ever been apart of besides my own.

I will now set up the draft, make the first pick, stay off the clock the rest of the day and then go on the clock tomorrow. I usually stat on Saturday night to give a little more time off the clock before going on the clock On Monday with 1 hour picks, 12 per day so Round 2 starts on Wednesday and that continuity provides accommodation for different lifestyles.

The two teams are still available and we will not start playing until the teams are filled or someone in the league steps up to run a 2nd team while still searching for an owner.

As you can see we have a great list of owners in this league and many with two teams. We have a policy in this league that roster errors do not constitute losing a player as once a player is drafted he remains the property of the owner until cut so if an owner forgets to list an IR player he is not available to be snatched by another owner because he shows available but instead we go back and see who drafted that player and let him know of his neglect to list him. No screw your neighbor baseball here as that would not happen in real life baseball and so we try to keep things on the up and up like real baseball would.

That is also why we use rookies only in the first round so there is plenty of time to browse free agents and report those too good to be true players.

It was recently discovered during the current draft, that started last Monday and is set to wrap up tomorrow, that Boston owns OF 1994 Ken Griffey Jr. in addition to the roster above so hopefully that is the selling point that attracts a good owner. The previous owner was getting up their in age and was starting to make a lot of clerical errors and an owner in the league took the time to discover his error.

We wrap it up tomorrow and owners enter quickly in this league so traditionally all should be in by the next morning or the morning after.
