I just got confirmation from someone that knows John that he is alive and well and still working in New Orleans.  No reason why he's no longer playing Sim Leagues, but it's still good to hear that he didn't pass away.  Somehow, this must all be booger's fault...somehow.

At least there's a chance he could be back some day.

I bumped that thread so people could see his last post, that's all. Skunk, that is good news.

Occasionally we still see speculation in a thread somewhere about what might have happend to JohnGPF.  A couple years ago it took about 2 minutes on Google and a sitemail to someone who knew him to find out that John was fine.  In fact, the co-worker that I asked back then is still active in HBD.  Who knows what may have happened in the past two years, but John did not (as was the rumor) suddenly die back in '09.

Others speculated that he probably got tired of the ridiculousness of the forums and went back to an old alias and continued playing quietly.  That feels more likely to be true than any of the other possibilities.
