One last difference that is not stats-related... 2007 is 15-13 in 1-run games while 2008 is 14-18.

So, in summary, my 2008 identical hitters are significanlty worse than the 2007 hitters. My unique 2008 hitters are performing worse relative to real life stats than the 2007 unique hitters. My eight identical 2008 pitchers are performing worse than the 2007 pitchers.

For some bizarre reason, my hitters suck on the road.

And I have worse luck in 1-run games. That about covers it.

I forgot to comment on the defense. 2007 has more errors, mainly because he is playing Chase Headley out of position at SS. He has 14 errors vs only 8 for my good defensive SS, K.Greene. I've been a little unlucky on minus plays vs 2007. '11 A.Gonzalez has 7 minus plays for my 2008 team and only 4 for 2007. My pitchers have 5 minus plays vs only 2 for 2007.

Tough stretch for all my teams. 11-29 over the last 5 cycles with all 8 of my teams going 2-3 or 1-4 in that stretch.

For the first time since this round started, all eight of my teams are .500 or better. Four of the teams are 56-56 or 57-55 so it's not like all eight are qualifying for round 4. In fact, my third best team (59-53) is currently not advancing due to being in a tough league.

But considering where I was a few weeks ago, I'll take it.

(Cue the back to back 1-7 sessions, coming up).

No 1-7 sessions, but since I posted, seven straight sessions without a winning session.

So predictable.
4/16/2025 1:41 PM
Fifteen straight non-winning sessions since my 4/14 post. I can't even squeeze out one 5-3 session, forget about 6-2 or better.

Here are my team's results since then...

Mets 6-9
Rangers 4-11
Astros 6-9
Brewers 5-10
Padres 7-8
Expos 5-10
Royals 6-9

A combined 27 games below .500 for these seven teams. Only my Angels have won more than half of their last 15 games.

My first 8-0 session! That was a pleasant surprise to the evening

Man, I can't wait until this round ends. Most painful round in one of these tournies in a very long time.

Just had back to back 2-6 sessions with the following game results... Why do I torture myself playing this stupid game?

Mets:
Bullpen give up 3 runs in 9th to blow gam (lose 5-3).
'99 Pedro loses again, contunues to suck, dropping to 13-11, 4.55 era (other two '99 Pedros are a combined 36-13, with 3.38, 3.85 eras)

Angels
Bullpen blows lead in 9th, lose 3-2 in 10 innings
Bullpen blows lead in 9th, giving up 3 runs in 9th, lose 14-12

Astros
Currently on a 1-11 run. Was my best team... now just one more loss from not even advancing to round 4. Also, 11-20 in 1-run games. Still have the third best Exp Win% (.546) in the NL despite getting outscored 108-50 during this horrendous 12 game stretch.

Brewers
Bullpen blows big lead, allowing 5 runs in 9th, lose 8-7.

Expos
Bullpen gives up 5 runs in 10th, lose 8-4.

Royals
SP pitches great for 7 innings (3 hits, 2 runs). RP comes in and immedtialey gives up 3 runs in the 8th inning w/o getting an out. Lose 5-4.
