It’s March Madness and there’s a lot going on at WhatIfSports. As the HD Discord community knows, I’m on top of the world with Xavier’s inclusion in the tournament!!
As part of the March Madness push, we’re currently running social media ads to bring new users to Hoops Dynasty. Previous ownership ran a very successful ad campaign during March Madness in 2023 - we’ve improved on that messaging and doubled the budget. Those ads started last Thursday and will continue throughout the tournament. We’ll also be running social media ads for SimLeague Baseball and Hardball Dynasty as Opening Day approaches.
Another important initiative for WIS right now is building partnerships with sports management programs and sports analytics communities. As we’re updating the code base and modernizing the platform, we want to continue to bring in new users. We’re close to the finish line on a partnership deal with one of the most downloaded baseball analytics podcasts in the world. We’re confident these types of partnerships will help spread awareness about WIS.
Other updates:
- We’ve extended the window for new coach sign-ups in Phelan and Wooden to Wednesday at 4pm Eastern. It wouldn’t make much sense to spend money running ads for new users and not have any worlds open for sign-ups. Rupp will also be in the new coach sign-up stage on Friday morning.
- You may have noticed the main home page and the landing page for Hoops Dynasty received much needed updates. We want to continue to make the platform more user-friendly and visually appealing so we’re working on new landing pages for all the games.
- Bug fix: The Sitemail Icon and Account Settings link on dynasty pages should be working properly now.
- 2025 NCAAM Rosters are live.
- We’ve also linked the Feedback Site to WIS accounts for a better experience sharing your thoughts and staying updated.
