We don't. But that's not necessarily a "clock" issue. If someone goes MIA during the draft, that's a problem. But if someone happens to be away for a day or two when the thread goes up - I think we can cut them some slack. I wasn't expecting this to start so soon. There's a bit of a lull at the start of most drafts, as everyone gets into the swing of it.

In version 2 of this draft, he had the first pick in the franchise portion of this draft. He hung us up for a day that time. So this is two consecutive versions of the Shuffle draft that he has hung us up. Once maybe understandable but twice may constitute a pattern. In either event it sucks big time.

He (slim senior) has not opened the SiteMail I sent signifying that we are full and the Franchise portion of the draft has started. Then again, neither has Jtpsops or mllama54. I guess that isn't a fair comparison or recognition of awareness. So of the 3 that haven't opened my sitemail, 1 wants patience the other can't wait and the third doesn't know we have started. LOL!

Not everyone lives on this site 24/7. Those of us who are on this site daily or multiple times each day have to realize everyone else isn't like that. I see it as an extended part of the wait that it takes to fill a league in the first place. Normally doesn't or isn't going to happen the first day or even two. Think of it as "the process of getting everyone on board".

When he signed up for the league via sitemail he indicated he'd take the Boston Red Sox but I told him he had to wait until that part of the draft, so we are going to go with that. If he wants to change that selection later I will allow it but understand that if he switches away from Boston you cannot switch if you have already picked.

hope he is ok. many of us that have been on WIS for more than 2 decades have seen long time owners just disappear forever.

He has been slow in the past and I don't think he is on this site daily. Probably only checks in a few times each week. Everyone has different schedules and priorities. If he isn't back by the time the player draft starts I will look for a replacement.
