Peanuts and Cracker Jacks - Needs 1 Topic

Many of you may remember longtime WIS player - Fatguyrd. I have been running his team in his memory since his passing. It's time that I pass the team along to a new owner. The franchise that is available is the NY Yankees. The next season of play will be 1971.

Here's a description of the league:

Peanuts and Cracker Jacks is a single season progressive starting play in 1961.
The initial season will have 8 teams in the AL and 8 teams in the NL.

There will be no inter-league play until the World Series.

Each team is subject to a $90,000,000 salary cap on opening day of each season for their 25-man roster. Additionally, each team may draft up to 4 AAA position players and 2 AAA pitchers subject to a $15,000,000 salary cap.

* Starting in season 2 the AAA salary cap will work in tranches. $2,500,000 in AAA salary will be unlocked with each AAA selection. So your AAA salary cap will be $2.5 million times the number of AAA players you draft. Example - you draft 4 players your AAA payroll will be 4 X $2.5 = $10 million.

WIS generated AAA players may not be used.

* Roster - each team is limited to 20 keepers starting in Season 2. Your keeper list will be requested starting at the All-Star game and need to be submitted prior to the 120-game mark.

* Each team has rights of first refusal to their own rookies. Split season rookies go to the draft pool.

* Player draft - the unused teams, undrafted veterans and rookies associated with the unused teams will make up the player draft pool for each league. The order of the draft will be set by league standings at the 140-game mark. The draft order in Season 2 and going forward will be 1-8 for each league and each league will have its own draft board.
* Draft position tie breakers: Head to head if applicable; Lowest total salary - MLB + AAA; Division Wins; Home Wins; Road Wins; Random draw if necessary

* No clones permitted on the same team
* I/R players do not count against your 20-keeper limit
* No DH until such time as the DH becomes part of MLB
* Trades of draft picks can take place up to 2 seasons in advance. Trades of players are subject to review of all owners. 9 votes are needed for a veto.
* There will be 4 divisions of play with 4 teams per division.

* Between each season you will have the opportunity to abandon your current franchise in favor of an unused franchise. You may make this change by using your first-round draft pick on a new franchise. A list of potential players on the unused franchise will be available prior to the draft. You will most likely not be able to retain the entirety of the unused franchise roster as some of those players will be keepers on other teams.

* Rules changes can be proposed by any owner. 9 votes are needed to enact a new rule.
* The commissioner reserves the right to close any unintended loopholes.
