No, because the draft center won't let you do that.

160M: Noah's Ark
You must roster 12 sets of 2 players where those two players have the same number of millions in his salary. And each of your 12 sets of players must use a different millions number (0 thru 11). In other words, you will have two players with zero millions (i.e., 200,000 to 999,999), you will have two players with one million (i.e., 1,000,000 to 1,999,999), you will have two players with 11 million in salary (i.e., 11,000,000 to 11,999,999), etc. Your 25th player must be $12 million or greater.

Seasons: Any
DH: Yes
Clones: No
Ballpark: Use the home park of your most expensive player
Alignment: Random

Ballpark question. I was looking at a few deadball pitchers as my "25th player" but I am unsure about ballpark. For example, New York Giants pre-1910 played in the Polo Grounds, but on the WIS ballparks list, the earliest Giants park is Polo V (1911-1957). So what does that mean if you pick one of these players from before 1911 (there is no park listed, but it actually should be Polo Grounds)?

Thanks.

If the park is not listed with the specific years, then use Whatifsports Park.

Actually Polo Grounds IV is in the full theme parks list. It covers 1891-1911.

OK,

I've finally completed a valid 100M Immaculate Grid roster. I think it has enough innings pitched and plate appearances and might even be halfway competitive.

After the effort involved, I am even more determined to play this team somewhere. If I don't make the cage I hope we go ahead with the consolation round idea. And if not, I will create my own theme league to play this.

So I would recommend anyone on the fence about waiting to begin this theme to start playing around with some different combinations. It's not easy, but is certainly a great and fun challenge.

And, for the few of you not already familiar with it, or who are baseball savants,, I strongly suggest using this link to assist:

I thoroughly enjoyed building this roster. Here is what I would recommend.

Start with one player that you know you want on your roster, with that player either being a clone or the teammate of the clone. Put that combination in your upper left corner of your 3x3 grid. Then work on adding one franchise at a time, either going right or going down. You will find that you can fill 6 of your 9 squares fairly easily and get 80% of your roster built. The last three will take some trial and error to figure out exactly what pieces you still need.

By the time I got to my last square, I really only needed a few more RP innings.

I might try to build a second team, for comparison purposes.

For the $255m league, does the ballpark have to be within the 25 year timeframe we choose?

Thanks. I've been burned many times so I just wanted to make sure.

Just make sure you use the season associated with your chosen franchise. That's the biggest error with combined seasons.

I’ve completed the 5 non-draft teams. Now….I just have to get to Round 2, which is no easy task.

I’ve already posted the public service announcement that the 100m Immaculate Grid league is difficult and I would strongly encourage starting to play around with it. I want to add that the 90m Pick 5 shouldn’t be taken lightly either. I can guarantee that 20m max per year rule will bite you a few times.

the 160m is a lot trickier than I thought it would be, gotta say when I first saw that theme, my reaction was it would be a simple cookie plug and play, but it isn't. fitting the pieces together will require some compromise and trade-offs.

The tricky part of the 160M theme, is do you select your $12M+ player at the beginning of your roster-build or at the end? If you select the player at the beginning, you need to make sure you leave yourself enough salary. You start to appreciate players that are at the low end of the range of whatever million you are looking at.
