Trading Places VI: MLB140468 (18 in) Topic

In 1983, John Landis directed the comedy classic Trading Places was released in theaters starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd.

Inspired by this movie, please join me in Season VI of the Trading Places league.

Summary: Choose two players traded for one another and twist 11 of their teammates on the team they debuted after the trade. You may choose players included in multi-player trades, three team trades, and/or trades involving minor leaguers. The team you will use to twist is the one they debuted with in the major leagues. So if they were traded in 1953 to the Yankees but did not debut until 1955 you would twist the 1955 Yankees. Your trading pair will be unique to you but the same player/s or the same teams may be used by other owners in different trades.

Roster:
(2) Players traded for one another - must twist to season they played with team they were traded to in your trade (but not necessarily debut season with team - combined, full, or partial seasons allowed). If said player leaves team for another team and then returns those return season/s may not be used.
(11) Players from each team involved in trade from the traded players first appearance on active roster twisted to ANY season of their careers. These players DO NOT have to be twisted to same team as trade.
(1) Wildcard from either the year 1988 (last season we used 1987 as option year) OR the calendar year of the trade. Salary may not be higher than your highest paid player from above.
***Trade must involve at least two teams playable within WIS format***
***Three team trades may use any combination of two teams and two players***
***Only one use of same trade involving more than 2 players per season***

Blacklist: Pairings on blacklist below may not be used again but a combination of different players from the same trade may be used again.
For example: On Dec 10, 1996 the Tigers traded Brad Ausmus, Jose Lima, Trever Miller, C.J. Nitkowski and Daryle Ward to the Houston Astros. Received Doug Brocail, Brian Hunter, Todd Jones, Orlando Miller. If Ausmus for Todd Jones was on the black list you could still use Ausmus for Brocail in another season.

Salary cap: $120m

Ballpark: Either ballpark used by the trading teams at the time of the trade

No: DH, clones, Waiver wire, trades, injuries, or minor league

Divisions: Chronological Order

Please announce your players, teams, and year of trade when registering. Thank you!
