Looks like I'm also in the minority but I voted for keeping the penalty points as is. Wiping them out doesn't seem fair to everyone else who managed to enter their teams on time.

In general, I much prefer the idea of a full tournament of owners all competing for the championship, rather than filling spots with random teams.

In specifics, I have competed for many years with both owners that we are waiting on and firmly believe the tournament is better off with both of them in it.

I have also never seen issues with either owner getting teams in on time, delaying drafts, or being prima donnas in any way. Life gets busy for all of us sometimes, myself included. I support the idea of waiving accumulated penalty points and starting them today and until all teams are in.

That last part is key - that penalty points are started today and will keep accumulating until all teams are in (even though penalty points accumulated prior to the deadline are forgiven). There's no way I could vote for a total amnesty from penalty points - it would be better to find an alternate way to fill the leagues then allow owners who don't make the final deadline to be exempt from any penalty points going forwards.

I don't even like the idea of the limited amnesty, but I agree that it's probably what's best for the tournament.

An owner who isn’t in the tournament reached out to say for fun he built 4 teams already and could finish the rest soon. I told him to keep going while we resolve this. But that’s a new option I wasn’t expecting.

That’s good news. If the “delinquent” owner had (has?) been communicating all along about a real-life time challenge that Jason et.al. were aware of, that would be one thing. But it would be hard to look past no communication, knowing the deadline and the struggle to get enough participants, and holding the start hostage.

jetscanes is officially in and entering rosters today.

Still waiting on one last owner, however.

71 owners are patiently waiting for one person to fix one roster. Hopefully, that happens today.

I am anxious to get started. I really like my teams this year.

Are we sure the last owner is getting the communications? There was some problems with site mail last year.

Yes, he had two teams to fix and acknowledged both. One has been re-entered, the other has not yet.
