Sorry if this has been covered before and I missed it. On the Next Guess website we have two ratings for recruiting classes. What’s the difference between Division Recruit Rating Rank and Division Recruiting Rank. Same question goes for Recruit Relative Ranking and Recruit Ranking?

one is just mean of all recruits guess ranks of each player. Relative is some sort of formula based on class position rank of recruits i think. #1 at OL is worth 100. is drops to maybe 80 at 10-25th best OL. Some positions are deeper than others such as OL vs DB. I believe it tries to represent that.

Relative rating is on a scale from 0-100. It takes the highest rated player in a position and makes that a relative value of 100. The lowest rated player in that position is given a value of 0. Every other rating in between the highest and lowest will be on that 0-100 scale.

The primary purpose of relative value is to get rid of the calculated rating bias at certain positions.
