scholarship responses Topic

I know a topic about what the actual statements are from AC scouts for where they fall on the Potential spectrum. Wondering if anyone has an order of responses from a yellow recruit to scholarship offer. I know there is a few of them and I would assume depending on the response hints as to how close a battle is?

We can obviously see who is leading by summary page. I feel like I have seen multiple responses on both sides but cant find too many examples in my inboxes currently especially of trailing responses. Are there any order to these worked out on how close it is? Is there other trailing responses?

Leading Responses
  • I told another coach that I'd listen to what he has to say before signing somewhere, but I'm definitely leaning towards x school. I like the direction of your program.
  • I'm close to reaching a decision and I'm leaning your way. I just need a little more time to make sure I'm making the right decision.
  • You're at the top of my list, but I also like some other places. I need a little more time to explore my options.

Behind Responses
  • I'm not going to turn you down just yet, but I have to tell you that I'm leaning towards another school.

I've been playing GD for quite awhile, and to be honest I have never put any stock into those responses. If you have a recruit in the yellow, and he won't flip to green, save your money, it ain't happening unless your an elite or Beast conference school with hella big wallet. I've read somewhere in these forums, to look at the recruit summary page, and the order of schools attached to yellow recruit. School at top, is winning the battle, and most likely gets recruit. Just my 2 cents.

Those responses absolutely DO mean something. They do mean something and you CAN go from behind to leading and win a yellow recruit. It just takes money.

Of course you can go from losing to winning and visa versa, my understanding is that guy will turn yellow if you've put in within 50% effort to a recruit as who is leading and usually required 2x+ effort to turn a guy green. I'm under the impression as signing progresses that 50% or 2x margin shrinks. I also believe the messages definitely mean something. Obviously 2x could be the difference between one guy 11k into a recruit while the leader is 20k into him. I assume the messages gauge how close you are. I am just curious if anyone has figured out the order of close to barely yellow the messages mean as people have ranked like all 10+ potential messages for how good of potential a recruit is?

I don't think the messages mean much regarding your lead. It's possible, but I've been around here a long time and never noticed it myself or seen anyone else mention it.

But I would also say the same thing about 10+ different potential messages lol so if that's a thing then what do I know
