Congrats to mfnmyers - 250 NC Topic

Congrats to Michael winning his 250 NC in Gridiron today (Rockne). I know there are complexities at the other levels that we don't have to deal with at D3 but it is a hell of an accomplishment. Congrats to myers!

Congratulations mfn. I don't know how you do it. The staff over at St. Olaf must always be on the road recruiting.

Bugeaters, every time I see one of your posts, I have to laugh. I went to Iowa State in the late 70's - early 80's. I think it might have been 1978, we played Nebraska at home. Our dorm floor made a huge banner, "Beat the Bugeaters". It got on TV. ABC, I think. (For those that are confused, Nebraska was called the Bugeaters before they were the Cornhuskers). BTW, I was born in Nebraska and lived there until I was 9 years old. Then my dad moved us to Iowa.

Oh, and that same game, someone else made a banner, "Huskers Squat to ****". Not sure if that one made it on TV.

CONGRATS, mfn!

Bjschumacher, the first Nebraska road game I went to was at Jack Trice Stadium in 1987. You don't see any of those banners made by students anymore. Every so often you see a sign that says "Iowa has Bad Corn" or something like that.

Sorry you had to move to Iowa.

The road to any Championship goes through St. Olaf. Congrats again and thanks for all the beatdowns.

250 NCs is mindboggling, what a machine. Were all of them St. Olaf(s)?

Also, it's clear....Bugeaters > Cornhuskers.

Bring back the original name!

This time of year it is pretty neat to have a nice email like this. What is forgotten by some is how many times we have lost and even gotten whipped. When asked by some for advice I tell them this - have a plan and recruiting is the key to the game at least at D3 . Just having the best team or numbers does not guarantee a title. This game is very fun even though there could probably be improvements. Most managers are friendly / respectable and it does give us all a chance to run a program without all the headaches. Bugeaters so all know is my top opponent as he is always a threat EVERY year. Cebrake is also very good and very nice at the D1. I miss Tattao and his show and extra stuff. Enjoy XMAS and the holidays and most (maybe all of us) will be champions around our houses and communities. Side note - the Mrs. realldy doesn't care about Olaf or titles . Extra tidbit - get and sign as many thugs and gang bangers-while they may be a menace on campus they sure and hell can run down ball carriers - or nuns on campus!
Thx to all for making this a fun game and be well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure that mfnmyers does not remember this, but: I started playing this game back in about 2010 or 2011. While trying to figure out this game, I noticed that I was at least LOOKING at the right recruits, because St Olaf (Wilkinson) was getting the same guys I was looking at. I sent a sitemail asking him for some advice and I'll never forget his reply, which was an eye opener and has helped me ever since.

To win 250, one has to PLAY a lot of games. My congrats to him for being able to juggle so many teams for so long and, on top of that, to be successful!

Good work and thanks for that long ago advice.

To put it in perspective, there are approximately 10 seasons in an actual year. This is 25 actual years worth of just championships. Myers is the man!
