Got a schwarze in the pm2 to climb to 26-10. My best start in one of these, but also a reminder of how far there is to fall ... and quickly with just a couple correction cycles.

Oh God... I stopped doing that regularly a long time ago. The only exception is when I see a blown multiple-run 9th+ inning lead, I like to see how many outs there were when the carnage started.

I'm sure i've missed a few no-no's in my days..

Through 3 days I have 2 great teams: $70m and $120m are a combined 15-3.

And 4 bad ones: the rest are a combined 11-25.

What's weird is that all 4 bad ones are pitching well, but hitting terribly. It's like they all caught the same bug. Hope they get well soon...

80M Team: 4-5 record, .679 Exp Win%
100M Team: 5-4 record, .647 Exp Win%
255M Team: 4-5 record, .735 Exp Win%

That's what a 1-6 record in 1-run games will do.

Some interesting over-managing by Sparky in the 120M league today. We're in the top of the 11th, and my 8th pitcher and last available reliever Zach Plesac is in the game. He's thrown all of 10 pitches and 0.1 IP, and he's a starter who is set for 105 MPC. So we're good to go with him for as long as it takes, right?

Except Sparky decides to hit for him with 1 on and 2 out in the top of the 11th ... with Bill Bernhard. And then he brings in SP Vean Gregg at 43 fatigue to pitch the 11th. Three batters later, it's game over.

Baffling why you hit for a pitcher with another pitcher when you have no one left. Maybe in the home half of the inning, I could understand it.

Because the computer can't take into account situational management. It doesn't look at inning when deciding pitch hitting. It will look at pitch hitting setting for that player (pitcher) and pitch hit according to that. MY guess is that you have Plesac at 5.

It happened again the next game, so yeah. And all my pitchers are set to be PH for. But I only have the one team setting for PH and that’s a 2. So I don’t know. I’d hate to uncheck his box and never hit for him when it’s sensible.

I see schwarze just pulled off the schwarze.

Just a general complaint about my choice to believe in the 1981 Astros pitching staff. Maybe it will turn around, maybe I have something set up incorrectly or maybe I’m learning what you all already knew - that 1981s strike shortened season doesn’t hold up in WIS. I went all in on them in both the 3 teams under .500 combined and the Astros as a franchise. This is simply a rant which I think is permitted here. Let me know if you’ve had success and if there is hope!

Wow, this is going downhill quickly. If I don’t turn it around during the intra-division games, this is going to be a big waste of time and money. Would be a painful lesson to learn.

It’s still very early. I’ve seen teams have ridiculous last 82 sets to come from behind. Or people who you thought were going to run away with it collapse after 82 sets.
