5 bombs in game 1 of the $70m league!

Hey, I thought if you start a catcher who's not a catcher, you're supposed to be plagued by passed balls. In the $255m league of all places, my opponent caught a Randy Johnson CG w/o OF Bob Johnson having any. Prolly would have mattered if we'd had more than 6 baserunners the whole game.

Wow, I'm in that league and had to go check it out for myself. So an OF only player (rated C+/D+ defensively) plays 9 innings at catcher with no passed balls and no errors. Yet your A/A Hank Aaron made an error in CF! Interesting strategy there. As schwarze so elegantly put it in another post, "he's either crazy or a genius"!

I've gotten away with it in LF or maybe 1B before, but never catcher.

Two straight 2-4 sessions. The one team behaving as it should is the walks-and-homers $70m team. They're 2-0, everyone else is 2-8. Things can only get better, right?

First Schwarze of the tournament for me. Teams are playing how I expected so far. But we all know there’s a lot more to this than the first 12 games, but really excited about the 9-3 start after getting off to slow starts the last two years.

Tewks is a stud, especially at $70/$80m. He goes for me in game 3 of my $70m squad, behind ‘22 Alcantara and ‘20 Hendricks

Slow start for me at 5-7, but the worst part is 3 extra inning affairs so far (10,12, and 13 innings). . . and I have a bad habit of cutting it very close with PA and IP. Definitely don't like to see extra frames.

Yes, I've tried to start a campaign for a "ditch" setting that allows you to concede in extra innings. I, too, like to keep IPs and PAs as low as possible. You'd rather lose in 11 than win in 14!

LOL ... Ryan actually did take a no-hitter into the 7th against us in Game 3, but we chased him with a pair of homers and then won on a walkoff.

The more things change, the more things stay the same. 11-3 in 2+ run games, 0-4 in 1-run games. '03 Gagne 0-for-1 in save chances.

(Don't get me wrong, I'll take an 11-7 start every day)

It's only a day, but

my $70, $80, and $120 teams: 7-2

my $100, $110, and $255 teams: 0-9

The $255 team gave up 28 runs at home in 3 games. Yippie
