You're right; no need getting too worked up... it's still early.
Guess who has the lowest fls/100 in the league now?
It's cool, but the Pranksters are still an anathema and I don't get it. Boards differential has also closed somewhat but they're still getting beat there, too. Seeing that I'm struggling this much and have the 5th easiest sos right now is quite discouraging.

Well, the other teams in your division average 23.01 FTA/100 versus the 21.54 the average Savage team does. So I would say the combination of just the random odds of being stuck in a division with teams that happen to draw fouls a good bit more than the average team, probably with (assumption) maybe a higher than average amount of close games would probably explain away most of it... a one team sample at 44 games isn't a lot, which is why I like the 5 team averages a bit more.

Just realized my 20th anniversary on this site was a couple weeks ago. Shouldn't that get you at least a card in the mail? Or a reference to a support group.

Daaaamn, nice man.

I've been kind of enjoying the game plan of keep it clean, and just throw up more decent 3s than anyone else. The blocks have been crazy good too - I'm never sure how highly to value that, but it's definitely not bad!

Though I lose on the boards most times out and don't get to the line much so when the shots aren't falling... Not pretty.

WISNBA Anonymous. Some guy named Scott E. leads the meetings. We're not supposed to know, but we all know.

Sorry to go off-topic here, but just once - I run a little March Madness game - well really it's two games, neither of which is filling out a bracket. I've posted the rules below, if you're interested I can give you the signup info, 50% of winnings go to charity so it's for a good cause! Last year the total pot was 315 doll hairs with 21 players.

Knockout Pool: Each player receives two entries, each round you pick one winner for each entry still alive, you advance when your team wins and are knocked out if they lose. However, each entry can only pick each team once -- but the entries are totally separate so picking a team with one entry does not restrict the other entry. Prizes to first and second and gutsiest pick award - this will likely go to the largest seed difference in an upset, but is subject to editorial review.

Final Four Odds: Pick the four teams you like to make it to the final four, one from each region. But there's a twist: 100 points are awarded for each region, but if more than one person picked the team that advances from a region, then each player with the correct selection splits the 100 points. More strategy, but less maintenance since you just submit one set of picks. Prizes to first and second, only one entry per person.

Ex: if 4 players pick Arizona to advance from the West and they do make the final four, each player gets 25 points. But if only 1 person picked Utah St to advance, and they are successful, that player gets the full 100 points.

Here are the final standings from last year so you can see an example of how this plays out IRL.

Ok - 18 games out of division to make a big push. This is shaping up to be one of the most competitive playoffs. 8 teams with 4 or more teams in all within 21 wins of 1st. Plus ben and db with 3 inside of 20 wins. Big stretch coming up....
