I'll get working on evals.... self evals are always fun too

Simmons/Westbrook/Thad Young
KD/Reggie Miller
Mason/Hot Rod/Cornbread Maxwell
Tyson/Mitchell Rob/Hot Rod
Walton/Bynum/Mason

Going with 3 different cores between the 5 teams.

One will feature heavy minutes Russ (starting) with high eFG guys like GSW KD, Tyson, Bynum, and Cornbread around him, which I’m pretty excited about. Some quick napkin math has that team at about 57 eFG, even with Russ, while still benefitting from Russ’ rebounds and assists.

PG Butler 2x Hill 1x Iguodala 1x T Brandon 1x
SG Butler 2x Kirilenko 2x Iguodala 1x
SF Giannis 2x Marion 1x Kirilenko 1x MPJ 1x
PF Giannis 3x Marion 2x
C Plumlee 3x O'Quinn 2x

My plan shifted a bunch of times because you ******** kept grabbing the players I wanted, far more frequently than previous drafts. I have a general theory on the team, unsure if it will play out like I hope. The top end numbers don't have me too excited. The above table is times starting. Iguodala is the one pick I wish I could have back.

If you take away Giannis, the Matrix, Jimmy Buckets and AK47, I'm not scared of that team at all.

I was driving myself a little battier than normal with team builds last night and today. Finally gave up. Not too happy with how they look, especially one of the times, but not going to make myself crazy over it. I think it is my worst squad since Savage 2.

Man, put some respect on Battier's name!

I'm 7 evals in and have prepped one team. This is going to be a challenge. I may have to slow drip the evals to make sure my teams are ready.

Just take a week off from work. Priorities, man.

Well that team sounds terrifying
2/6/2023 10:19 AM
Kyrie / 2 J Brown / 2 T Rozier / 1 G Hayward
Danny Green / Delon Wright
Outlaw / Horford
Capela / 1 M Chriss
A Davis / Bellamy

Take the 3, 4, and 5 with a grain of salt as there's a lot of positional flexibility. Obviously a ton of picks spent on one spot, but after Bellamy in the 8th the rest of the draft strategy was pretty much locked in. Not that I necessarily love what I got locked into...

I have a tiny bit of tinkering left to do but the main takeaways are that this is by far the cleanest set of teams I've put together (bye, bye, Barkley) but the wEFG of 55.4 is just OK, and there's a pretty big dropoff after the third best team, I might take another crack at rebalancing. I have a feeling I'll end up in a similar spot to the last few seasons - top 5 or 10, but not a true contender for the throne.

Since all the cool kids are doing this, I may as well too:

LeBron James/Jose Calderon/Mark Jackson
Jose Calderon/Zach LaVine/Joe Ingles/Mikal Bridges
Draymond Green/Zach LaVine/Brandon Ingram
Robert Parish/Domantas Sabonis
Dikembe Mutombo/Tom Boerwinkle

First things first, LeBron never fails to play point guard. EVER. My PF's may play a little center (actually on one of my teams it will be a must)

Once I got my seven man rotation down, I decided that I could start looking at specialists. In doing so I left myself a little short on the defensive end with my second lineups. I am still fleshing out my lineups, once I feel like I am done I then start thinking about it again. I do like that I have flexibility to use some short seasons that maximize the things I am looking for out of my team. So far my worst starting lineup look like 55.8% efg/ 125.3% CReb%/ 92.1% Ast%/ 7.3% Stls/ 13.8% Blk%/ 77.8 Def Rating Average. Of course, by thinking that is my weakest lineup assures that it will actually be my most functional.

If Jose Calderon is SG and Zach Lavine is SF, does that defeat the point of LeBron playing PG? I mean it wouldn’t be the first time. We had a team rolling out Cheeks and Majerle at SG and SF with LeBron at PG. Team did well too.
