The same argument that is used for abortion was used by slave owners. "It's my property. Don't tell me what to do with my property."

I agree with you that speaking out against child abuse should be done with great caution. People parent in different ways and should be free to do so. But we should all be able to agree that stabbing a human being in the head and sucking their brains into a sink is clearly abuse of the highest measure.

I do appreciate your libertarian leanings. Our world would be much better if more people minded their own business and let people live life where they see fit up to the point that they infinge on someone else's right. But it is undeniable that abortion impedes another's right to life, the ultimate right.
first paragraph is a ludicrous comparison.
second paragraph IGNORES the debated issue of what is a human being and I GUESS is talking about a very very rare instance of late term abortion.
last paragraph is again presumptuous enough to speak for others about what is and what isn’t a human being.

Posts like the one i am commenting on are highly highly misleading and disrespectful of the opinions of others.

and people in the northern states Did Have A Direct Vested Interest in wanting to abolish slavery.
When something so pernicious and evil as slavery is happening in states of the United States that means there is evil. And every state wants to stop such evil and the possible expansion of it and prevent ruination of any respect anti - slavery countries would have for the United States.
So I find your comment to be extremely disingenuous.

I have a real problem with people who put guns - any kind of guns before human life.
Lets just say it isn’t rational.
And I double down on people who want to criticize making the age to be 21 in order to buy an assault weapon if they are not made illegal.
The fact that the irrational people are controlling the practically 90% in favor of these changes as well as banning assault weapons shows that we are living in a time of tyranny by the minority with guns and abortion as 2 examples.

So the durham case fizzled out like a limp biscuit today.
Sussman was acquitted and to add insult to injury and salt in the wound, the jury foreman held sway before the press and lashed out at Durham that the case was tiddlywinks and such a mountain out of a molehill.
She said it was a waste of time and there were far far more serious issues going on.

I think Sussman has been trying and trying for 3 years and this penny ante McDonald’s hamburger was the fruit of his labor.

Sucker.

It won’t be on Faux News but after it is over they will have some people to tell you that you did not see what you saw and you did not hear what you heard
in their usual sing song voices.

It does not look like there will be10 Red senators to pass legislation to raise age from 18 to 21 on assault weapons. Heartless cretins and gun runners.
Every voter should draw a red line on that issue.
There might be a way to price them out of existence by taxing them like crazy through a reconciliation bill.


There is a reason that even cops are scared shitless about the AR guns which is their great selling point to murderers.

Instead of crosses gun happy readers of the new testament should wear little AR-15s around their neck if they put assault weapons ahead of pro-life.

Gun laws have not slowed the murder rate in Canada..

Here's a suggestion though..

Maybe make hanging the penalty for murder.. first or second degree. and hang them publicly

and your references to believers as 'Gun happy readers of The New Testament' is typical of the spirit of anti Christ, which has saturated the US of A. Maybe that's why the people there are so screwed up.

Mccarthy is complaining about the Jan 16 committee - that it is partisan - that it is going after republicans ( duh ) and is a witch hunt etc.

I do give major cred to Pence for refusing to join the coup and doing his job forcefully and forthrightly.
But he has a moral and ethical and democracy saving obligation to testify on his own instead of leaving it all to his assistants to testify.

It would be a damned shame if he did not tell what he knows because of the hateful mob that is the base of the Republicans and no group of american people could be more base.

in one post you say gun laws haven't slowed the murder rate, than in the very next post you say the murder rate in Canada is 9x lower. Which one is it?

watched the hearing last night and after out of curiosity i switched on Faux News and there was Laura Ingram ranting about how Liz Cheney was reading off her monitor and complaining and insulting her because of it.
I turned that off before it induced vomiting.
The Faux News people are some of the worst of the worst of the worst that are in this country.

Faux can’t show it because too many of their traitors are involved and are part of the hearing.
