I was just kidding. I'm new to the site, but it seems like a place where people are very relaxed and understanding that filling 24 teams is hard, and stuff happens to people, so it's just easier to just go with the flow, since you're going to have to hurry up and wait again soon enough anyway. During drafting the draft board is not always updated every 5 minutes to reflect recent picks. People have lives. Therefore, you have to scroll through the posts to find who was drafted. A cluttered board leads to mistakes and people drafting someone who was already selected because they missed it in a cluttered draft board. It's just a common courtesy, that's all man.

That is very true berk. I was in this league for 10 seasons or so before I took over commissionership. When you have a league go that far back with similar "ownership", everyone kinda gets on "autopilot". Not saying that savoy is being a lil' overstepping, but it might help if he just kinda pulls back a bit. We know what we are doing here, and the first round is often delayed like this. Once we get 24 guys who know they are in this draft, it should move much smoother from round 2 onward.

OK, ((as our current houseplant (President) would say), here's the deal....

I EXPECTED round one would take about 4-5 days! That is why I scheduled round 2 to be on the clock on Thursday. If things go as planned, we should still be able to hit that goal. If not, we will just move back the start of ON the clock to Friday or even Saturday. Everyone has lives, and I realize that, so we will have to be as patient as possible. I am dealing with a HELL of an eviction situation which has casued this league to be delayed about two weeks longer than I was hoping for it to be. The fact that we are even at this point is something that is incredibly UNCOMFORTABLE to me. I am STILL not sure I will be able to keep up once we go on the clock so PLEASE be patient!

savoybg, I understand you run numerous baseball leagues as a commish and you have all the answers in the world about how to best run a league, but I BEG YOU to just chill and relax, and just let the dominoes fall as they will ok? If there has EVER been a league that I have run in the last ten years where I have NOT needed an owner chomping at my heels and telling me the way I should run things, THIS IS THE ONE LEAGUE NOT TO DO THAT!!! PLEASE just chill and let things play out! I admire your enthusiasm as do many other guys in this league I'm sure, but please just dial it back a few notches!

Seems like a lot of nervous energy about the pace of the draft. I, for one, enjoy the slower pace of the first round. It gives me some time to do some research for the draft without feeling rushed.
