I went to the movies the other day - saw Death on the Nile - sat in the middle of the 5th row. I was the only person in the theater until 2 people came. They looked around and then picked my row to sit on.

Whole theater was empty.

That’s what I was thinking.

My heart goes out to the incredibly brave and brilliant peoples of Ukraine. They are getting murdered, but they will not give up. Every country should have people with that courage and fortitude and ideals.

They have proven to be a great people.
Today I believe there is a major demonstration planned in Russia,
Although the Russian people are going to suffer terribly the sanctions cannot be stopped.
I’m no great fans of most of Russian Americans I have encountered ( not including the very educated people ) but the Russians are not to be blamed, certainly not Russian American people and not the people of Russia.
If there was ever a war brought by one person, it is this one.

The numbers of Russian soldiers deliberately foiling the Russian onslaught and surrendering is not a lack of courage but a showing of strong moral fiber and humanity.

Approximately the equivalent of 17 million Americans has left Ukraine - women and children and the infirmed.
Ukraine needs our material support.
Ten or twenty years after history is written and the Ukraine has fought successfully with support and aid of most of the world, no one worth spit
is going to remember the days that we had to pay a little more for gas and oil.

The coming together of most of the world is a great step towards building a more cohesive world willing to sacrifice in moments of worldwide peril and in a very intelligent and committed way.

Is Joe Biden going to give them the Jets they are begging for? It's been days now. What's the hold up?

he has given them 1 billion in aid this year.
and congress must appropriate money and who said there is a hold up.
Other countries are also supplying planes and the USA is helping to facilitate that.

Logistically supplying airplanes is not a 1-2-3 thing.

What investigation into Hunter? I don't remember one other than the one currently going on involving his computer. That's been quiet. Wonder why.

I have no Idea what you're talking about BUT I do have Biden on tape withholding money from Ukraine unless they fired the prosecutor who was investigating his son, Hunter Biden.

ON INFLATION

Why do we have it and what will be done?

The inflation was caused by disruption in supply chains especially from world markets and the eventual consumer demand for certain goods such as automobiles driving up the cost for used cars.

After Covid the USA plunged into a recession and very high unemployment. Through the Biden targeted stimulus and assistance to business the and lowering rates by the fed the economy did not tank but even beat all expectations and boomed and reached unprecedented increases in job growth and low unemployment.

The stimulus was a calculated move that was expected by many economists to cause some inflation, but the major cause was uncorrected disrupted supply chains especially coming from other countries. In fact, inflation happened in all industrial countries but not with the boom that the United States got.

If Biden and the FED did not carry out their joint plans the suffering would have been devastating and we would have had a deep recession instead of inflation. And that would have been catastrophically worse. And if in fact the supply chains were better fixed there would be much less inflation.

Most economists predict that the FED will raise rates 3-4 times this year and with improving supply chains from certain sectors that will help.

Unfortunately, the war will cause increases in industry and petroleum oil and gas prices. And there will be problems with wheat as the Ukraine is one of the top producers of wheat in the world.

The world and the USA are releasing oil reserves and farmers here and around the world will need to step up wheat production.

The latest INFLATION numbers are expected to be released this Thursday, March 10. Early report indicate it will be 8%. If true, the 2022 numbers are as follows: JAN - 7.0 FEB 7.5 MAR 8.O
