Interesting thought....Hank Aaron helped make the male first name "Aaron" popular. Michael Jordan helped make the male (and somewhat, female) name popular. Bill Russell helped make the male name Russell popular.

So why are there no young potential stars in sports named "Gretzky"? Why wasn't there a large amount of young men born in the 70's named Wilt? There DEFINITELY was not a surge of male babies named either "Ruth" OR "Babe"! Since "James" is a biblical name and has been around for centuries, I guess the maketing scale will have to be seeing how many lil "Lebron's" there will be in all sports in the next 20 or 30 years.

Funny how some names catch on, and some never do. I gotta go help my son "Pippen" with his homework....
