I've just reached .551, my high water mark to this point.

Maybe I missed this, but Is there a reason we aren’t using the admin run standings like last year? Felt like it did the trick well enough of updating each cycle. And if admin is working on something, is there a ETA? Being consistently 3-5 cycles backdated gets frustrating when trying to figure out where I am in standings.

Sorry for the lack of consistent updates. One of my cofounders for my company had to have emergency surgery and has been stuck in the hospital. Work is taking priority over hobbies right now as a result. I’m also working with admin on creating a new standings page

there's also nothing stopping you from building an auto-updating standings spreadsheet, all the league numbers are readily available

Nothing stopping me except the lack of knowledge of how to build an auto-updated anything.

In all seriousness, though, why can't anyone make a local copy of ozo's sheet and have it updating automatically? You may assume (correctly) that I don't understand what "vlookup" means.

I don't have the coding knowledge to do it either, which is why I'm grateful we have something that's updated regularly, people have really gotten spoiled here.

I motivated and figured out how to do it. There's no formatting or anything but it should be functional. Also the code is all in the sheet so anyone can take this and improve it themselves.

What I meant was last year it was integrated into the wis system. I saw something about wanting to have an updated version from admin, but was curious if they could just add the one used previously

I also have zero clue how all this works which is why I was along

Pulling the data from a web page was trivial compared with getting it to auto-update, I'm beginning to see why we're in the current predicament. Apparently the code I'm using updates once an hour assuming I have the sheet open. Any more frequently than that will require macros that could download god only knows what onto my hard drive.

I would try to write a python script to scrape and write, but then I would be the one everyone gets mad at.
