I got caught up in some real life stuff the last couple of days. Results will be posted today, likely by noon.

FWIW, the deadline is to keep things orderly and timely. Not submitting by the deadline runs the risk of losing out on the round. I will certainly make every effort to post within a few hours of the deadline, but I might also need time on a particular night to proofread, organize, triple check, or just do something else in my life. In this case it was the latter.

Rest assured, results will be posted no later than the next day. The next deadline will be two days after I post. If the deadline comes and I still haven’t posted, any post-deadline submissions will be counted. I think that’s only fair

I can understand everyone wanting to see results, but this is a bit of work. The more time I take, the more accurate I'll be. I would graciously ask for everyone's patience as I move to post results within the hour

Not to worry bds. We know this draft is a ton of work and appreciate you doing it. Take the time you need. I think the posts just reflect enthusiasm. Seeing the results is a lot of fun.

Bds most of us are really appreciative when it comes to all the work you do. I personally am more than happy with the timing and cant complain at all, take all the time you want bds. <3

Also, to point out a possible typo: Baron Davis is listed on my team but it appears to have been picked twice. Perhaps shouldn't be on my team.

IMO, there are two teams here that are clearly head and shoulders above the rest - great job. Also, there is one team I can almost guarantee will lead the league in defensive 3%. Overall though, I think more elite talent slipped through last edition meaning that it is going to be a scramble this season. This is my 4th time playing, and I don't think I've had my roster so empty after 2 rounds, so this is real interesting.

This is only my 3rd go-round, but I'm starting to love it. Sort of half luck-half strategy. Just never know what other guys are going to do.

So, a few of us are doing the Savage draft, and possibly gearing up for the Decade Draft League, while also doing this.

What I'm going to do is extend the deadline by an extra two days. I don't want to leave four teams behind. The deadline is now Tuesday at 8 PM. I apologize for the delayed release of rosters, but it's the only fair way to ensure everyone has a chance to turn in ballots.

I will SM the stragglers. If they do not turn in their ballots by Tuesday at 8, I will post.

So being a commish stinks and it's thankless so I hate to be "that guy."

However, I think 48-72 hours to submit a roster isn't that hard. I don't recall the original post but maybe sign-ups clearly outline the draft process and deadlines so people don't sign up if they can't make the deadlines?

Also, I know maybe weekends are harder so maybe it's just a set thing - after the initial "draft" then the deadlines are always Tuesdays at 8 pm and Fridays at 8 pm and that's that. (So if the first "draft" occurred on a Wednesday/Saturday it might take a week to get the second round done, that's the only worst case scenario really).

Anyway - no major deal here, just spitballing.

FWIW (nothing), kind of agree with cea, that maybe set days would be a good idea. Every owner has times in life where things are more hectic than others, most times with issues bigger than WIS. Making exceptions and changing deadlines opens the door to a very slippery slope of complaints. (Do we delay the next deadline because of March Madness that everybody wants to watch, or the one after that so people can concentrate of MLB Drafts?) Not needing to make such calls are yet one more reason we should greatly appreciate everything bds does for these Leagues. I'm all-in for whatever he does, but set days would eliminate him needing to worry about trying to set deadlines that accommodate everyone's schedule.
