Find me one left-wing person who claimed that Joe Biden would enter office and the Pandemic would immediately end. I would rather have a President who is honest about the scale of the virus rather than one who constantly lies that the pandemic will be over soon.

As for Biden vs Fauci, maybe the articles won't be written because Biden isn't publicly undermining and criticizing Fauci? Biden claimed that the Trump admin's vaccine distribution was a failure. Fauci DID NOT contradict that statement. Fauci said that the Biden admin is not starting from scratch in terms of the vaccine and that some frameworks from the Trump admin were usable.

Number of executive orders signed by past presidents vs. Biden, in their first couple weeks in office:
Trump: 4
Obama: 8
G.W. Bush: 2
Clinton: 2
H.W. Bush: 1
Reagan: 1
Biden: 17. So far.

Now tell me again, who is acting like a dictator?

1. Signing executive orders is not similar to acting like a dictator.
2. Most of Biden's executive orders are simple rollbacks of Trump executive orders - meaning that he hasn't expanded the power of the executive much at all.
3. Even if 1 and 2 were false, you would still want to wait a bit before characterizing Biden as a huge executive order guy. Maybe he had 17 immediate executive orders, and will attempt to get most everything else done legislatively? You have no idea.

Well, Trump sort of predicted that once the election was over, the pandemic would never be heard of again.

I've actually heard a lot of people say that they expected to essentially immediately be able to do more things safely if Biden won the election and became president.

One that particularly stuck with me was my wife's hypochondriac college roommate - she graduated with a degree in chemistry - who was so happy that Biden won the election because she hasn't been out of her apartment in months and coronavirus was going to 'go away' since Biden won.

EDIT - To be fair, I don't think anyone associated with the Biden campaign ever remotely implied that this was true. In fact, they have consistently said the exact opposite. But I definitely know that surprisingly many people believed it.

And to complete the circle: A lot of the Trump executive orders were to rollback the Original Obama executive orders he couldn't get through Congress. So we're back to the future.
