TRUMP: Best President ever Topic

President Trump's approval rating plunged to an all-time low of 29%, or 9 points lower than it was in August 2020, according to a Pew Research poll released Friday.

Growing GOP disenchantment is driving the decline, with just 60% of Republicans now rating Trump's job performance positively, down from 77% in August.

The deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 appears to be tarnishing the president politically as he prepares to leaves office, still refusing to acknowledge that Joe Biden won the election.

He can’t just go down in flames...he’s gotta go down in flames “better than anyone in the history of flames”

Former Trump campaign staffers were listed as official event organizers and helped secure the permit for the "Save America" rally that led to the storming of the Capitol, despite repeated denials from Trump’s reelection campaign that it was involved, several news organizations discovered through a review of official paperwork, the Business Insider reported on Monday.

Several former campaign and White House staffers were also mentioned in the paperwork as being on-site staff during the event, as investigated by The Associated Press, ABC News, and The Washington Post.

None of those who were revealed to be involved in the organization of the event responded for comment.

The Trump campaign told ABC News that it "did not organize, operate or finance the event" and that no campaign staff members were involved in the organization or operation of the rally.

It said that if any former employees or independent contractors helped organize the event, "they did not do so at the direction of the Trump campaign."

In addition, several established Republican groups that were involved in the rallies leading up to the riot have since tried to distance themselves from the violence, according to The Washington Post.

President Donald Trump and his allies have faced significant criticism in the aftermath of the Capitol riot, including from 10 Republican representatives who joined their Democrat colleagues in voting to impeach Trump last week.

“Folks, I voted for a fence, I voted, unlike most Democrats – and some of you won’t like it – I voted for 700 miles of fence,” Biden told the group. “But, let me tell you, we can build a fence 40 stories high – unless you change the dynamic in Mexico and – and you will not like this, and – punish American employers who knowingly violate the law when, in fact, they hire illegals. Unless you do those two things, all the rest is window dressing.”

“Now, I know I’m not supposed to say it that bluntly, but they’re the facts, they’re the facts. And so everything else we do is in between here. Everything else we do is at the margins.
