That could be an easy compromise. There's a few guys we might be able to trust not to look at the draft log. Vancem? for example.

I have a list from some season of this league with the 24 RD1 entries.

I think we could use dbkc’s site, run a draft to see which list we use as a blind 24th list.

The commish decided to run a 23 team first round draft. Randomly adding a 24th seems problematic because the intended effect or harming Sephy’s team might backfire.

He got amazing fortune and we ALL could have drafted same players.

I can contact dspahlinger if bds wants I’m 100% sure he’d say yes without looking

I agree with this, but my only concern is finding a 24th owner willing to pick up the scraps against not only Sephy's squad but a bunch of other great teams.

It would not be done with the intention of hurting sephy's team. It absolutely could "backfire" though. it is the only way to guarantee a blind list.

We signed up for this. The issue isn't Sephy having a juggernaut, it's what we do about it.

I stated clearly in the rules that for Round 1, I could replace an absentee with someone from the wait list. Well, there was no one on the wait list, and the 24th hadn't even checked my reminder sitemail. I gave him ample time to do this.

I had no idea how long we would have to wait for a 24th ballot, considering I didn't have a human to do this. I made several posts here and in the sign up thread throughout the day, and I still don't have a reserve.

23 vs 24 is also not fair to the owners who thought there were 24 lists to go through. 23 is already a modification of the league though I understand bds’ point.

in the future, if we don’t have 24 lists, we should look at the last draft, pick a random owner and use their list for the exercise. Or another solution. I feel like you’ve got to have 24 or you’re basically playing a different game than you signed up for. Even it is only 5% different.

Using a historic roster or a dsphalinger roster both work for me.

Yes I could play for second. That is fun. But what isn’t fun is those 5 owners who get stuck in that division.

If we can find a trusted 24th, we can proceed as planned. I'm confident that's what will end up happening.

Wow!!! Sorry just seeing all this now. I guess I drafted TOO well lol. Obviously it would be fun for me to play this out, but if 17 out of 22 of you aren’t interested in that I’m okay taking the honorary title and some site credit. Let’s see how the poll goes.
