CLASS Draft for Dummies (Comments & Questions) Topic

thoughts or opinions about how we think the draft may unfold???

predictions or gut feeling about what is going to happen (strategies)

(Im holding my cards close to the vest) -

but I am trying to balance each of the three classes to some degree
(not having 3 point guards or 3 centers all in the same class)
Balancing that will be fun.

I'm anxious about the sophomores and freshmen and looking down the road to their future seasons.

if a person has a problem making their pick at a schedule time they could site mail me or someone else. i am retired and my wife has me tied to the house due to the virus except for groceries and essentials and walks. i don’t mind helping.

I have always wanted to see people reward people for sending proxies.

if you are 4 pics away, send a two player proxy. If both players get drafted, we freeze the draft to acknowledge the effort.

So are we going on the clock for round 2?

maybe we go on the clock starting tomorrow based on where draft is?

and we drafting over weekends?

hell yes we should be drafting over the weekends this draft will take forever otherwise.

I sent out an email

Im good on the weekend - and think we should
(unless there is overwhelming opposition to the idea -

When the draft was set, I tried to forecast the first two rounds. I had myself taking Mullin (which I did), but missing KG by one pick...ouch.

I had no clue what to expect when this Draft started, and honestly still don't.

It will be interesting. Obviously your fresh and sophs should have good years ahead.
Do you sacrifice your future by taking a much needed freshman with only one good year in him?
Or compromise and take a longer career which may negatively impact the current season?
It has the same qualities as many progs except I think the season to season turnarounds
may be more dramatic. At least I hope so!

I'm kinda worried for some of the guys -
I think we may have a record of skipped picks in this one -
gonna have some squads shoot themselves in the foot I'm afraid...
hope it doesn't discourage some who may be heavily passed over

(part of me thinks 'to hell with them' - but Id like them to maintain interest -
and with fewer owners at WIS - it hurts if we stall finding replacement owners - LOL)

I tend to over prepare and had a draft board of 32 players that I made right after my 1 st round pick and I am only 4 picks away and my number 1 guy is still available, keeping my fingers crossed

I hope someone else takes him !
and I hope it is the pick RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU

(those damn Cardinal fans) BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE

I do the same thing - it hurts when you watch and watch and watch and the player gets closer
then someone snags him

(only my thing is that no one usually wants the garbage guys I end up with)

I believe in this group. I think JackedJamie could be up again in2.5 hours.

Pretty impressed with people so far. I think too often people miss out on a lot of the 70’s guys in this format.
