"We're doin' okay at home, but gosh, we gotta figure out a way to win on the road!"

30 wins at home, but 29 total wins? Was there a forfeit or something? -1 and -52 away? What kind of record is that? Some of that NEW math???
What site do you use to host images? I haven’t found one that WIS accepted since tinypic went down.

Sometimes this works...just above you have your Bold Italics Underline options. Further to the right, just before Source, are your Image Properties. It's the one furthest left in that set. Try typing or pasting your URL in the box...

d_rock97, I'm using https://imgbb.com for the nonce. Seems okay but who knows, I don't have good luck with posting images here.

Snuffy Stirnweiss with 50 plus plays. Most I’ve ever seen.

Pretty good, but only the second most I've seen.

Most was 1920 Dave Bancroft in a prog. 52 plus plays at SS.

I would imagine that 50 for a 2B is still more + plays per total chance than 52 from a SS.

Good point. I was just looking at plus plays among all fielders. I checked four long-running progs/themes I'm in (about 200 seasons total) and Bancroft was the only player with over 50 plus plays at any position. Based on those leagues and d_rock's post above, here's what I came up with for most plus plays at every position:

P -- 2004 Livan Hernandez, 14
C -- a bunch of guys with 1
1B -- 1914 George Burns, 39
2B -- 1906 Nap Lajoie, 55
3B -- 1912 Frank Baker, 37
SS -- 1920 Dave Bancroft, 52
LF -- 1930 Mule Haas, 47
CF -- 1923 Johnny Mostil, 46
RF -- 1928 Taylor Douthit , 35

If anyone can find examples that top the totals listed here, please share them.

EDIT: Above list updated based on new posts below.

There is a thread that looks at many attempts by owners to create teams that reached 200+ plus plays. I am rereading it now. So far the only player I have found who beats anything listed above is 1914 George Burns with 39 at 1B. On page 9 of this thread: https://www.whatifsports.com/forums/Posts.aspx?topicID=457571&page=9&TopicsPage=0

Also, I am currently running a theme league to test whether (and how much) pitcher strikeout rate affects plus plays. All 16 teams are using the same core group of 7 A+++ range guys. We'll see if any of them can top these numbers.

Page 10 of same thread. 1928 Taylor Douthit got 35 in RF

I was in a theme league last year (Speed Burner III) that saw my 1906 Nap Lajoie make 55 plus plays at 2nd base (with only 25 errors).

crazystengel, I know this is real baseball and not SIM, but I think this absolutely belongs in the "Believe it or don't" category: "The saddest plate appearance of all time"!

Just watched an interesting story about the 1904 Olympics Marathon in St. Louis. Born and raised here, I'd never heard this story before. It's a pretty interesting watch:

Before you watch one of Jon Bois’s “Pretty Good”, just prepare to go down the rabbit hole and spend the next 10 hours watching the rest of them
