Please excuse my lack of tech knowledge, but what is a google form?
It allows me / anyone to create a form where I can ask questions and get people to submit information. Then, I can have the results show up in a spreadsheet automatically.

In this case, I would ask:
  • What's your username?
  • What round is it?
  • How many times have you tried to select a player in this round?
  • What player are you selecting now?
  • How much are you bidding for that player?
You would just need to fill that out and hit submit each time you went to select a player. I would then be able to easily see, in one place, who selected what player and what they bid.

So 255 mil easy questions

a) what happens if two people bid the exact same amount

b) let’s say I have bid 250 of my 255 mil with five picks left therefore compliant. What happens if someone else bids more for the same guy. To make an additional bid I cannot be at 1 mil a pick any longer.

Great questions.

A) No one would get the player and all owners who bid for him would need to pick a different player and re-bid.

B) In that case you would bid until you could not any longer (i.e. had $0) and then you would need to select your player last (after the bidding process) for all remaining rounds.

$255M If we don't get our first choice is there an additional bid for the second choice or only the cost of the original bid? What if 2 or more owners request the same additional player?
You will have to bid again and you will not get the cost of your original bid back.

The process repeats as many times as necessary.
I want to be sure I understand this. If I bid for Babe Ruth in round 1 and get out bid. I have to rebid on another player. If there are, say, 8 other owners who also got outbid, then I am rebidding against those 8 players? If I am the only one who gets outbid, I can have anyone left in the pool for $1?

Correct, except that you would have to spend 1M, not $1

So 110 mil

lets say I pick the 2000 Mets. So I get 95-2005. I then twist to a braves Red Sox Rockies Yankees and blue jays team based off the 2000 Mets. Then draft 5 players from each of those 5 teams who were never teammates with anyone on the 2000 Mets other than the original twist thereof?

Not quite. In your example:
  1. You pick the 2000 Mets as your base team
  2. You twist 5 players, one each to the 2002 Red Sox, 1996 Yankees, 1996 Blue Jays, 2000 Rockies and 2005 Cardinals
  3. You then twist 5 players from each of those 5 teams (for example, Pedro Martinez, Jason Varitek, Derek Lowe, Manny Ramirez and Trot Nixon from the 2002 Red Sox) to other seasons of theirs between 1995 - 2005
  4. None of those players can have played with anyone on the 2000 Mets in any year they were WIS-eligible

Yeah I could tinker with that 24/7 until the deadline and still think I wasn't getting the best team on the field ... My head is spinning trying to figure out how to start it.

Question about answer 4: Does "they" in "any year they were WIS-eligible" refer to the player you take on your roster, or the guy on the 2000 Mets?

Similar to my variable cap round 1 team I can see myself making 20 different versions and saving them all before I decide on one. Knock on wood I don’t gaffe my current spot away.

@redcped -- The player you select cannot have ever played with anyone on the 2000 Mets except for the player you twisted to get them in the first place

$140M: Teammate Draft
Each owner, starting with the #1 ranked owner, will nominate a player. We will then have a 25 round draft where each owner must select one teammate of each nominated player, and one additional teammate from one player. Players who were nominated cannot be selected as teammates.

I'm not understanding the 2nd sentence there. If it's a 25-round draft, how are we making 2 picks each round?

There's one player per round. In the course of the draft, not per round, you must select one teammate of each nominated player and one additional teammate from one player (since there will be 24 nominated players instead of 25)
