I'm fairly certain that both major parties want a strong military and also fairly certain that there are significant portions of both parties that think there are major problems with the way we fight "wars" overseas and problems with how we allocate defense spending.

We don't actually have open boarders now. Areas with natural barriers to migration (rivers, mountains, deserts, oceans) aren't "open." The fact that many people (in both parties) acknowledge that a wall in the middle of the desert doesn't solve any problems, doesn't mean the Dems want open boarders.

Votes after midnight aren't rare in the Senate it was debated and argued for months. You tried to make it sound like it was rushed and snuck through. Talk about disingenuous.

And even if you wanted to go that route, the repeal vote held by the GOP...the one McCain scuttled, was held after midnight.
