They need a moderate female minority war vet.
LOL - I think if they ran Sinema as a VP they may be OK. She is not bad looking, a centrist, swings both ways and well spoken. As far as President I am not sure who they should run with her but it would need to be someone charismatic and a war vet. If they run Harris, Booker, Biden, Sanders, Warren....they will lose IMO. As I said, Beto IMO is awkward and lost to Cruz in his debate and badly. To me Cruz is a C- debater so Beto cannot beat him, he will get crushed by Trump and or Pence.

Sinema has to win to be seriously talked about at all. That ain't happened (yet) and it's doubtful IMO.
AZ voted over overwhelmingly (as usual) Repug.

It BETTER NOT be Biden (too OLD, too many drinks, likes to talk too much), Or Booker (he ain't Obama and black man Beta won't work), Sanders (see Biden minus the drinks), or Po.Warren or K. Harris (needs more seasoning), NONE of those will go anywhere with me (and Most of the) Independents around thew Country. Needs to be a fresh new face with some actual gravitas (preferably male!) some real Intellect and charisma to "catch" folks interest, and Flake to run as a 3rd Party candidate. With those things a ___________/Sinema ticket could work.
Panetta/Sinema could be OK. McSally being a fighter pilot and war vet...pretty cool. I'd vote for her too.

Trumps approval rating on par to BHOs and WJCs after their first two years and he lost a lot fewer seats in Congress than they did after their first midterms and both got re-elected....interesting right?
Interesting that you're leaving a whole lot of context out of Obama's low approval rating.

The economy is basically as strong as it can be. It's not like unemployment can ever get to actual zero and Trump's approval is still in the shitter.
You just said Obama improved the economy? LOL. Trump is also fairly polarizing. We'll see how he does in 2020. Thanks for admitting that under Trump the economy is flourishing and that you don't care.
What? Obama did improve the economy but unemployment didn't get below 7% until 2014. A lot of people were going through really hard times when Obama's approval was so low in 2010.

Of course the economy is strong right now. No one has argued otherwise.
And you also know that the economy is usually the #1 predictor of POTUS re-election.
Normally.

But normally the president isn't constantly stepping on his own dick and worrying about impeachment. That the economy is so strong and his approval is so low says a lot.
He is polarizing. That is both his appeal and his weakness. Economy under WJC was pretty good too and his rating was low. People are finicky. If Trump cured cancer you'd still despise him. The economy is irrelevant to you and there are millions in the US just like you. Cannot get over the 2016 loss and embarrassment.
We were in a recession in the early 90s and unemployment was relatively high during Clinton’s first two years in office.

Again, very different from what Trump has been given.
11/7/2018 2:58 PM
By 1993 the economy was moving in the right direction as I recall. I was only in college then so I may be mistaken.
11/7/2018 3:00 PM
It was still around 7% unemployment. Don’t be dumb.

Even though I'm not a fan of Trump, the Democrats will have a tough time beating him in 2020 if the economy stays as it is now. Who do you think should run against him?
I'd run a war vet and a moderate. Which neither Biden nor O'Rourke are.
What tf are you talking about? Biden is a moderate.
Biden said Romney would put black people back in chains. That is your definition of Moderate??!?!?! Are you kidding me.
I don't think he meant that literally. If that's your only example, it's pretty weak.

Also, weren't you the one who said that Dems have turned inner cities into modern slavery?
11/7/2018 3:13 PM
I think maybe a Biden/O'Rourke ticket would have a chance?

This kind of thinking is why the Democratic party will continue to spin the wheels. Who in their right mind thinks Biden is any kind of viable candidate in 2020? If the Dems had any balls at all they would begin a fast move away from Pelosi, Biden and all of the old guard. For Dems to actually change the course legitimately they need to think bold and think young and start from within. Move forward with young minds. They need to start with more realistic thinking like taking a loss on Trump in 2020 but concentrating on taking the Senate along with the House and setting up 2024 with new faces, names and ways of doing things. Along the way the Dems can find a candidate with intelligence and integrity that actually has a chance to move the country AND humanity towards a better way for all. Names like Beto, Booker, Abrams, Garcetti, Gillum, Johnston, Moulton and Swalwell come to mind. At the very least Dems need to begin grooming a new generation and try to reach to the future. If not the party just stays mired in the current muck and division of the present and the next 2, and more concerningly, 6 years will be lost in what has proven to be essentially a 50/50 split across our country that is doing nothing but destroying ALL of our values in some way. Trump is obviously not going to cure it. Old names from both sides like McConnell, Graham, Pelosi, Biden and their like aren't going to cure it. My opinion was already attacked with the comment that I'm somehow happy that the government will be pumping the proverbial brakes because of the election. I'm definitely not "happy" about it but I do consider that the current GOP will now have to slow their roll a bit a win for humanity. A win for HUMANITY. Not Dems. Not Liberals. But for actual people like all of US living in the real world.

I don't know how to fix it. You don't know how to fix it. All we argue about is fixing it. Your way, my way, CNN, FOX, Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative...

When is it HUMAN???

Former Democratic Vice President Joe Biden suggested at a rally for Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) that the trade union president beat up Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-ND), saying, "show him a threshold of pain."
