Follow up question for what you did answer, would you be OK with Trump pardoning himself?

(obviously he can't pardon himself, that isn't allowed, but he claims he can)
He won't have to pardon himself. Even if he did it would end up in court forever answering the question 'can a president pardon themself?'

That’s not what I’m asking. I’m asking what you think. If there are clear financial records tying Trump to money laundering, would you be in favor of impeachment?
moy?
I'd much rather see a trial first. But yes, if guilty of a felony I would not want anyone in office, no matter what party.
Again, not what I'm asking. Actual impeachment is a function of politics. Regardless of what Trump did, he might not face trial because of partisanship.

Putting that aside, if there are clear financial records tying Trump to money laundering, would you be in favor of him being impeached?
I understand that. I'd prefer a trial first before impeachment. If it's that clear it should be a quick trial.
I don’t think that’s how it works. I’m not 100% sure, but I think the main remedy for a criminal President is impeachment.

Assumig that is the case, would you be in favor of impeachment if financial records clearly tied Trump to money laundering?

Again, you didn’t answer the question. Should presidents be able to pardon themselves?

I don't think they should, personally.... but the law is the law and I believe in the rule of law. If it's legal to pardon oneself then what does it matter what I think personally?

If he's money laundering he should be charged for money laundering and go to trial and if he's guilty he should have the same consequence as any other money launderer. I'm not a fan of impeaching an innocent person and he's not guilty until after a trial. To me it's innocent until proven guilty.... Not the other way around.

A senior counsel and a top aide for Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt resigned Wednesday amid growing controversies surrounding the agency.

The agency released a statement confirming that the aide, Millan Hupp, had resigned, a move that comes just days after appearing before a panel of House oversight committee investigating allegations of mismanagement and spending at the EPA.

“Millan has been a valued member of the EPA team from Day 1, serving an integral role in our efforts to take the president’s message of environmental stewardship across the country," Pruitt's statement said. "I’ve had the opportunity to know Millan for the last several years as a colleague, friend and trusted partner. She has done outstanding work in all of her endeavors here and will be sorely missed. I wish her all the best.”

Hupp, Pruitt’s scheduler, appeared before the panel earlier this month to discuss personal errands that Pruitt had her do. This included house hunting, booking a trip for him to the Rose Bowl, and even securing a used Trump-hotel mattress.

Pruitt maintained that any house hunting that was done for him was on personal time.

EPA CHIEF SCOTT PRUITT HAS SPENT MILLIONS ON SECURITY, TRAVEL: REPORT

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called the errands a violation of federal law.

According to an administration official, Hupp’s last day will be Friday.

Sarah Greenwalt, a senior counsel at the EPA, has reportedly handed in her resignation as well, The Washington Post reported. The EPA did not immediately comment on her departure.

It’s not. But that’s not the question. Should the president be able to?

Think it through and imagine a world with a president you don’t like.

If it’s something he can do, what implications would that have? Wouldn’t that give the president unchecked absolute power when it comes to criminal acts?

When a president is impeached, the impeachment vote is held in the house but the trial is the senate procedure. So there would be a trial. But not until after the impeachment.
