I'm back! Yes, I bought a season so I could post here again. seble, I wanted to reach out about this. I told this to norbert back in the day, but I would love nothing more than for you to make enhancements to the site that cause my tools to become obsolete. I'm happy to chat, show you my code, whatever can help make that a reality.
For your questions about what the tool does, I think a few people have summarized it quite fairly, and my tutorial videos also do a great job of showing off all the features. tronstellar's post in this thread also explains how I got distances for the tool.
On this topic, one thing that I'd like to suggest (I had also heavily suggested this many years ago) is the possibility of embracing 3rd party tools and creating a restful api that they can make use of. This community is full of people that want to create and do more, and depending on how many resources sportsHub is planning to devote to GD, they may be able to provide value back to the community more efficiently than you can.
Using my strategy to get data sucks to implement and is super fragile (as evidenced by the recent google analytics stuff). An api would allow creation of far more robust tools that don't break with every change. All that said, it's definitely your call, and I'd understand either way. edit - found the thread where I suggested this before (https://www.whatifsports.com/forums/Posts.aspx?topicID=427085)
And since we're also on the topic of cheating, let us not forget the original cheat...baking an advantage for your alma mater directly into the code. Classic JConte! If you haven't heard that story, then gather round the campfire later tonight.
