I have to show ID to buy a can of chewing tobacco or a case of beer. Having to show ID to vote is perfectly reasonable.

I'm still waiting on the study that shows that 25% of blacks don't have government issues ID's.

You show ID to register to vote..there's no reason to show it again when you show up to exercise that right.

So how does the person at the voter booth know its you and not your brother? What is the harm in showing it again?

It's unconstitutional to require a paid ID to vote according to the 24th amendment.

I don't have any such card. I just give my name and address and they let me through. We are not discussing the same thing here it seems. I don't own a voter registration card. I was registered automatically via my census.

One percent of our country is Muslim, I've never had problems with anyone from the Muslim faith who live here.

With that said, I'm not a big fan of the ideology of Muslim countries. I don't hold it against all their people though.
