Who will the Dems run that will entice me to vote that way? The last time I voted Dem was for Gore in the hanging chad election. Taint, please tell me who your party will run?
  • Sanders = will not get my vote
  • Booker - NFW
  • Warren - NFW * 1000x
So you say, why do I care who you vote for? You are one person. Well I will tell you this, I am a 40 year old white collar professional and I work in corporate banking dealing with multiple persons throughout the country and I would say at worst 90% share my views on this matter. This is the silent majority and these are the people that got Trump elected along with the blue collar workers in the Rust Belt. I am an independent and will gladly vote for the best candidate that I consider to be best in my subjective opinion. But HRC was not that candidate. I am sure you heard people say "I voted ABC"...anyone but Clinton. So you tell me, Jeff, who will the Dems run in your humble opinion that will get me and millions like me to shift and vote Dem? Because the way I see it, the Dem party is out of touch with reality and is slowly moving toward a Socialist party and I don't believe anyone in their right mind wants that.

I patiently await your answer.

Lastly, have we not learned not to believe in polls after the last election?
I'm not sure who it will be yet. This far out, no-one would have though Obama would be a two term president either. Looking at the party now, I'm not sure who it will be. I'm also not totally beholden to the Democrats as you might think I am. I've voted Republican many times in the past. I'm hoping Dennis Kasich decides to throw his hat in the ring again. Still think he was easily the best choice the last time around.

I'm not a huge believer in polls normally because they usually sample from 500-1000 people. This one was 14,000 and I'm seeing a lot of my conservative friends and family start to question what the hell the Republican party is all about and/or what they are doing. There's still plenty of hardcore Trumpster's, but he has turned off a large portion of people I know who voted for him, especially among military members.

Would you vote for Trump in 2020?
It depends who runs against him. If it is Sanders, Warren or Booker then I will if not then I will see what their views are, etc. I live in Liberal MA so my vote will not make a difference. For all the negative publicity he has received the economy is doing well and I like his action in terms of Israel. So those are two positive in my eyes.

I kind of assumed that you would like the Jerusalem thing.

Why the hatred for the Sox?
only a red sux fan or an idiot would ask that question.
Nah. I'm indifferent. I'm about as fair weather of a braves as you can be. I'm guessing you're a Yankees fan.

I agree with this. I'm not a fan of the guy, but Israel and the economy are 2 huge pluses.

Economy yes. Israel NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

To me it is a big YES. I am done tap dancing around the heinous Middle East countries. Every president promised to do so and DJT is following through. Palestine is not a country, they are exiled Jordanians and Egyptians. Every majority ME country...well I have spouted enough about that. Israel is our only true ally in the ME. Their capital is Jerusalem and our embassy will be in that capital.

Except that Israel's capital has never been Jerusalem, they have no claim to be the sole owner of Jerusalem, and they should NOT be the sole owner of Jerusalem. Jerusalem is a holy city for all religions. It should be a UN zone.

Here is what I would do:
Make a meeting between representatives of Arab, Israeli, and everyone else's descent.
Do a two state solution with as close of a logical and reasonable compromise of land.

Palestine IS a country, Israel has no more right to the land than Palestine does.

DJT also supports Saudi Arabia, anyway...

When a solution kills foreign policy with others, it's a bad solution. US involvement without understanding has hurt enough in the reason.

Because guess why terrorism in the US happens? MIDDLE EASTERN PEOPLE HATE US BECAUSE OF THINGS LIKE THIS.... but weeee are the victims I guess.

Please show proof that Palestine is a country. By your logic we don't have a claim to Texas as Mexico can claim it too? Middle Eastern people have been killing each other for 1000s of years. France, UK, Germany all have been very sympathetic to the terror states and yet they are often victims as well. Je Suis Charlie. How do you explain that?

Man, why am I discussing this with you?

You sir are uneducated.

Correct. I haven't researched the facts, but I feel safe saying that Europe has had much greater issues with terrorism by middle easterners than we have. (I should say more incidents, 9/11 by far tops them all).

No oil in Israel Screw them. When they have something we can use then we can talk again.

The terror groups who did 9/11 etc cited American interference in ME as a prime reason.

Palestine is not an internationally recognized country, however I think it should be and they have just as much claim to the region as Israel does. TWO STATE SOLUTION.

Figures that something as stupid as "chain immigration" was passed under a Liberal.
Can't wait for the ones on this site to tell me why it "needs" to continue.
