Trump: Worst President Ever? Topic

What will really be awesome is when Trump ***** the bed and the government shuts down.
Why would that happen?

TRUMP hasn't passed anything.

There is no TrumpCare.

The Republicans in the HOUSE have passed over 300 Bills. The SENATE Republicans have yet to pass one.

WE'RE still in the first year. It only seems like a lifetime because of the Establishment Never Trump Republicans and their leftist democrat allies and the FAKE MEDIA.

The Republicans have given in time after time to leftist demands on the budget.

CAN YOU point out one time where the democrats have given in to the Republicans on a threatened shutdown?

When? What did they get in return?

I found it particularly funny today that the head of the FCC doesn't know the difference between an edge provider and an ISP. Where does he find these guys? Bottom of the swamp?

I'm guessing you haven't read the tax plan and are only listening to the talking heads. They did away with a lot of itemized deductions, but raised the standard deduction. Taxes will go down for most people. For the bottom 50% of earners taxes can't go down any further. They already don't pay anything. Most of the wealthy did not "luck" into their money. It was earned. We should not start penalizing people for working hard. That would terrible for our country. Apparently, you are a socialist a well. Makes more sense now why you think Obama was so wonderful. I work very hard and have taken many risks to gain what I have. It was not "luck". I have caught some breaks, but I put myself in a position to catch those breaks. EVERYONE has those same opportunities.

Also, why does anyone deserve a deduction for childcare. I understand it is expensive, but the government is not responsible for providing for your children.

By the way, your last post is why Obama is a socialist.
Jeez

A) no one has read the entire bill. I’ve read the tax policy center analysis.

B) “50% don’t pay taxes” is a myth

C) Taxes go up for a not-insignificant number of middle and lower income earners.

D) Taxes do not go up for high income earners.

E) When I said luck I was referring to the estate tax. Inheriting wealth is luck. You didn’t work for it. But, in this plan, that luck money for incredibly wealthy people is tax free while we increase taxes on people that don’t have much who go to work every day to earn their money.

F) Obama isn’t a socialist. Neither am I.

G) I was being facetious when I mentioned lotto winners and childcare, but we give childcare deductions because we’ve decided society and our economy benefit when people have kids. Just like how we deduct for mortgage interest because we’ve decided that society and the economy benefit when people own homes.

Anyone who is for this tax cut never gets to ***** about the defecit again.

What it does to graduate students is downright criminal. It's SO WEIRD what the GOP wants to do to those in higher education. It's almost like they want an uneducated populace.

If it's so awesome, why the rush to get it through? No testimony. No commttee meetings. No normal rules of order.
We've already seen what the scoring looks like. Its amazing how important the debt was to Cons, until now. of course it wasnt important when Bush was president either. Talk about a talking point.
What have Republicans done? Did they take over student loans from the financial institutions?

NO! OBAMA AND DEMOCRATS DID THAT.

Did Republicans raise tuition year after year?

NO! The liberal institutions did that.

Did Republicans create tenure?

IF Democrats enforced LAW pertaining to LEGAL IMMIGRATION as much they care about tenure or antiquated Union rules or supporting a President who turned a TRILLION DOLLAR stimulus into a Democrat slush fund for family, friends cronies and Union buddies who threw it right back into the re-election coffers, we could talk. That won't happen as long as you falsely accuse Republicans.

I do, however, have an interesting fact for you. Let me know when you're ready.

What is the difference and why does the head of the FCC have to know it?

also remember the doubling of the standard deduction goes away in 2025.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you didn't read my original post on the subject. I said that the potential debt increase makes me really nervous. I said that there is some good in it, but.
11/28/2017 9:02 PM
You really think it's a potential increase? Folks in Kansas thought that also.

That's fine. Gives us 8 years to renew it. I am personally for abolishing deductions and lowering the rates. We can keep an escalating system and if you want to set to the bottom 20% (picked random number because I haven't done the math) at a 0% rate that's fine. It would make the system more difficult to cheat.
11/28/2017 9:07 PM
The Republicans have already caved into the liberal premise of "PAYING FOR IT" and therefore it isn't a tax cut.

A tax cut is only real and fair when it is across the board and for all.

BEYOND THAT....A lot of tax law pertaining to write-offs need to die. Simplify.

AND EVERYBODY should have to pay tax. Even if it's only a penny. You libs should help them out. ALL IN!
11/28/2017 9:12 PM
A) I'll agree with that. 429 pages is a lot. I wasn't saying actually read the whole bill, but there are plenty of cliff notes versions that are straight fact without a lean left or right

B) this is not a myth. There may be a few exceptions of single people with no kids that pay some, but quite a few of those have plenty of other deductions that keep them from paying any taxes. The current rate for that bracket is $1800 + 15% after $18,000 which is not very much and pretty easy to get to $0 with all of the deductions.

C and D) I'll cover in a second.

E) I'm indifferent to an inheritance tax. It brings in little revenue.

F) Obama is a socialist. He is for wealth redistribution. He just doesn't call it that. It was out of place for me to call you a socialist. We haven't discussed economics enough, but you have mentioned higher taxes on the wealthy many times which would indicate a socialist. That is wealth redistribution regardless of how you label it.

G) you know as well as me that most deductions, whether introduced by the left or right are not for societal benefits. They are for pandering. I agree that some benefit society, but nobody is entitled to any of them.

Change potential to probable. I don't think it's a definite increase. If done right, lower taxes can lead to more revenue. There is a myth that businesses pocket extra income. This is not true. Most of that money is reinvested.
11/28/2017 9:23 PM
C and D) you are going to have to work some math for me because it works out to me that the bottom two brackets tax bill will go down even though their rate is higher. The standard deduction is going up by $3,000 for single and $6,000 grand for married. How is this going to make their taxes go up?

A - I didn't read it. Cliff notes. Not impressed.

B - Stop the crap. Get the lawyers out of my finances. Give me a % then go away.

C - D = sub par grades.

E - THE GOVERNMENT WORKS FOR THE PEOPLE. WE PAY THEM. THEY WORK FOR US. WE HIRE THEM. WE FIRE THEM. THEY WORK WITHIN THE LAW OR GO TO PRISON. THEY ARE YOU AND YOU ARE THEM. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO YOUR WEALTH PROPERTY FAMILY LIBERTY LIFE.

F - Obama took the greater part of the TRILLION dollar stimulus and paid off the Unions who elected him. Wish he'd built roads and bridges.

G - AMEN!
