It doesn’t matter. If an ISP can choke off access, my idea is worthless.

What do you think Google, Apple, IBM, and Microsoft have done for ages? They choke off ideas by either buying them, suing them, or creating a product/service to compete against them. Ford has done it, GM has done it too... its called barriers to entry. If it's a great idea and you get the funding you need and the market timing is right you'll be fine... just like in EVERY other industry in the US.

When did Facebook start up? BEFORE NET NEUTRALITY? What about Google, Twitter, Groupon, Zillow, Amazon, Reddit, Match.com, Pandora, Wikileaks, ebay, craigslist, youtube, linkedin, dropbox, etc.... OMG!!! HOW COULD THAT HAPPEN?!?!?!
Jesus Christ. Google can’t physically prevent people from getting to other search engines. Facebook can’t slow traffic to a crawl at competing social network sites.

Think of it this way. I run an asphalt company. I pave roads for the government. I decide to diversify and start a restaurant subsidiary.

You run a competing restaurant next door.

I lobby the government to allow my paving company to control street access outside your restaurant. I put up barriers to all foot traffic and install a toll booth. Anyone eating at your restaurant has to pay a $100 toll. Anyone eating at my restaurant can go through for free.

Good luck.
LOL.... DID THE INTERNET NOT WORK BEFORE OBAMA INTRODUCED NET NEUTRALITY?

The world has changed significantly since Google and Facebook started.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so we need more regulation. WAS THE INTERNET WORKING IN 2014 BEFORE NET NEUTRALITY?

If we don't get net neutrality.....will we all die? How long and when?

Is the government involved?

Who invented it and why?

Is net neutrality more important than.....
a budget
tax reform
stopping illegal immigration
allowing jobs to be created
cleaning up and elimination of off shore accounts
veterans and national defense
Korea isis and iran
the deficit
transgender LBGQwxyz rights
russia russia russia
trumps taxes
breaking news stories from the investigative reporters at msnbc

Net neutrality is better for the consumer across the board. It doesn't take much research or common sense to figure it out.
Explain it to me.
He can't... but since he does like beer I have to say this year's BCBS is probably the best its been in at least 5 years. SO TASTY!!
It's been pretty bad since In-Bev took over. I normally don't buy their beers but maybe I'll check one out. There sure is a **** ton of it this year.

I could explain it, but it's not worth the time. It really doesn't take much thought.

Well....that explains it then.

Got a prop, coffee, and a couple barleywine this morning plus a case of BCBS... I gift most of the BCBS because people around here think its the best thing since sliced bread and I think it's only $9.99 a bottle. The BCBS is not as sweet as it has been in past years imo. I always enjoyed it back in the day when it tasted like a really strong Guinness with a real nice bourbon kick.... rather than like I am chugging straight maple syrup.

Nice, I wanna try the prop. Bunch of friends got some today. Not sure if you know Ceez or not, Chicago dude. He had quite the Binney's score today.

Definitely my opinion on the last few batches also. Super sugary and kind of thin. Then there was the infection debacle of 16. Was lucky enough to enjoy quite a few bottles of King Henry back in 2010-2012. Beer trading got dumb after that. Everyone trying to 'WIN" the trade instead of just sharing good beer.

Cheers.

And we really don’t have to use analogies. In most areas, because of government granted monopolies, the only viable ISP is one cable company.

Those ISP can decide that they aren’t making enough money on their cable packages and wreck streaming services.

Consumers are left with even LESS choice if this happens.
And if they aren't making enough money on them they should 'wreck them'.... and find something they can make money on. Then again... free blogs were around well before Net Neutrality was, drama queen.
Yeah, they should wreck them with a better product. Not by lobbying the government to give them special power.

Pure rent seeking. Super swampy.

But that’s Trump’s MO. So, you know.

You're being a drama queen. Net neutrality is NOT necessary.

Just admit you’re in favor of big business lobbying for special protection so that it can stifle competition. Don’t hide from who you are.

You're hilarious... I noticed you glossed over your big business lobbying argument when I brought up Google and FaceBook are lobbying FOR net neutrality ha ha ha.... I have some more news for you BL.... special protection IS regulation. deregulating the internet removes special protections.
