I'm wondering if we would have let three Chinese "shoplifters" off the hook had we caught them with shoplifted sunglasses just because the Chinee head of state asked us to............? I think they should have faced the music for what they did. Be convicted and THEN (maybe) the State dept. could have interceded and asked for mercy for the dumb, spoiled rich, pampered BALLplayers........... maybe then they would learn some respect for basic law, like OWNERSHIP of property.

He's running the country just fine. Goldman Sachs just released a report that they forecast a very good 2018 and 2019, increased wage growth, unemployment under 4%, and a lot more.

I think he shouldn't have interceded at all. They're THIEVES. It sets a bad precedent for helping out CRIMINALS for the sake of some headlines.

It would've have been better for the country (and his message) if he had said "Keep them. I've been telling Congress to build a wall to keep criminals out of here, why the **** should I help some guys getting a FREE education at a public college who are thieves? Just don't kill them."
