I'm beginning to think that BL is a woman. He argues a lot like my wife. He hears/reads things, misinterprets them or adds in imaginary words to make it seem less logical, and then argues against the less-logical things.

Mike says "he walked a great deal", BL hears "he walked too much", and then argues about "too much".
It's a classic BL tactic. Take something you said, remove the context and distort it to mean something different, and then argue that's what you meant.
Mike's the only one trying to remove context, leaving out the part where he said, "bad."
Are you trying to deny that you often do this?

LOL if you are.

I stand by my arguments. Mike wants to have it both ways. He actually does think that EM walked too much (which is retarded) but also doesn’t like the fact that everyone calls him retarded for saying it. So he wants to claim he didn’t actually say it.

But he did.

Mike's the one saying "It was a 10 page argument. Why are you using one sentence? One sentence with "3" next to it list he's listing something?"

You do know that everyone can read, right?

Post the link. I was listing reasons I wouldn't put him in the HOF. You'll have to excuse me if I hold 3-4-5 hitters to a different standard than Vince Coleman and Ozzie Smith. I'd have LOVED those guys to walk 110 times a year. The were not great hitters nor did they bat in the middle of the order.

Still confused?

Yep, on the list of 5 reasons I wouldn't put him in the HOF(only 1 of which wasn't bad). I included I prefer my middle of the line-up guys to take the bat off their shoulder. IIRC, EM batting in the middle of the order, thus making one believe he was a good hitter, and I like my better hitters swinging the bat rather than passing it on to a lesser hitter. Let's not pretend EM either walked or hit. Not looking it up again but I believe he whiffed once every 6 PA. Who knows how many were looking?

It’s true. We all win when mike ventures into the EM walked too much argument.

Yeah, you said he walked too much.

That’s stupid as ****.
And this

Mike, if you want to say you do not think Martinez walked too much, go for it.

Say you didn't mean it and that Martinez's walk rate was actually a good thing and I'll never bring it up again.

Right here. This is the crux of the whole "Martinez walked a great deal".

You're still listing that as a bad thing. Which is retarded as ****. His walk rate was a good thing.

Actually, I’ve had a change of heart. Mike convinced me. Babe Ruth was so overrated. HE WALKED TOO DAMN MUCH!!! I know I want my middle of the order guys swinging at pitches out of the zone like Vlad Guerrero. He’s the perfect middle of the order guy.

You're comparing Edgar to Ruth? That's exceptionally stupid.
11/14/2017 1:52 PM
Say it, mike. You know you want to.

Edgar Martinez's walk rate was...a good thing.
11/14/2017 1:59 PM
Edgar Martinez’s walk rate was...not even that high

well..15% is pretty high...I'd bet it's probably top 50 all time among guys with over 3 or 4k PAs. But it isn't Barry Bonds or Ted Williams good.
