The United States will be immediately implementing much tougher Extreme Vetting Procedures. The safety of our citizens comes first!

better vetting than what he's done with his cabinet and flunkies he's surrounded himself with?

It’s out now. Top rate stays the same, corporate rate down to 20, bunch of middle class deductions eliminated (student loan interest, medical expenses, etc).

This will not be popular.
I LOVE IT!!! Much more simple and saves money.
saves money for who? trump and his rich buddies?

Chances of passing in current form = 0%.

A travel ban is literally impossible to stop all terrorism. We have tons of security measures in airports, etc. Don't use a terrible event to push your agenda. Also, the terrorist to good person ratio among immigrants is probably 1 to 1,000,000. All a travel ban would do is push the flawed stereotyping that muslims are terrorists.
@moy
Hollywood movies push flawed stereotypes too and I don't see you up in arms about them.

All it takes is 1 in a million to kill 8 Americans and injure 12 more.

Yep. Taxes go up for middle class families, people with student loan debt, people with >500K mortgages, people with medical bills. Taxes go down if you run a corporation or if you are inheriting >$5m.

No way this passes.

Especially since the new credits for lower/middle class people phase out in a couple years.

BS.... $24k standard deduction and 12% for the next $75k married couple is better than 98% of the middle class is currently paying.

It won't pass because it adds $1.5 trillion to the debt. Bunch of GOP Senators already bombed it.
11/2/2017 12:53 PM
This is a **** plan. If Trump really wanted to help middle/lower class families, he wouldn't touch the personal exemptions, mortgage interest deductions, and student loan interest deductions.

This is a gift to rich people who own a lot of stock or who plan to inherit a **** load of money.

Not an Obama lover, but as of yet I have seen no evidence that Trump > Obama

How?

Mortgage deductions drop from $1 million to $500k? How many middle class people have mortgages over $500k? Only wealthy people do.

The first $24k married, joint filling is now at 0% taxes. The next $90k is at 12% under Trump. currently this is the first $12k is at 0%, the next $18k is at 10%, the next $55k is at 15%, the next $15k+++ is at 25%. It doesn't take a genius to see Trump's plan is WAY better, simply with the 12% bracket extending up to $90k.

It expands the child tax credit, how does that not help the middle class?

Capping state and local tax deductions at $10,000.... Again that's a beat down on the wealthy but not the middle class.
