Of course it is. It will help reduce illegal drug trafficking, child trafficking, and the flow of illegal Immigration. It doesn't cost all that much either. Even at $22 billion that would be the equivalent of we paid to fight for 2 months in the Iraq war.

Start with a wall... Border apprehensions under Obama averaged about 30,000 a month and that's just the ones that got caught.

Then make it near impossible for employers to hire illegals with a good e-verify program and STEEP fines. That will help with overstays.

Deport like crazy when illegals are caught... That will make it less likely they will want to come to America illegally no matter how they could get in the country.

The present physical barrier idea is a joke!! Can't be done. Have you ever been along the SW border? Know what erosion (from summer monsoons) and washes are all about?? Likely not. A physical "wall" would have gaping chasms going underneath the wall in a matter of a few seasons!

It's really more like half would be stopped by the wall, maybe less. And your comparisons are weak because there is less cost to doing those things than building a wall. I would be all for it if it did not cost taxpayer money that could be going to public benefits. If we are going to spend years building the wall, it has to serve it's purpose better than 50%.

I agree with the second one. The third, well, we have to be respectful to the children who have no choice. I get that it is illegal, but we still should be humanitarians.

What do you mean 'half'? Half of what?

We don't even know how many illegals are pouring over the southern border. We only know of the ones that get caught which is about 400,000 a year.

Also a wall would cost less than what we spent to find the Iraq war for 2 months.

Don't forget it will reduce illegal drug trafficking and human trafficking.... Or since it won't stop ALL of this illegal activity you don't want it?
