Did he come by all of them legally? If not, he was a criminal before he started shooting. If so, what logical reason could anyone give for needing to have that many guns? You want guns for self-protection? Fine. I'm not sure how effective that is, but do you really need dozens of guns for self-protection?

We don't need ANY guns for self-protection.

well, yeah...a criminal should not be able to get guns, but being criminals, they don't really care about the law or what the police think. Unfortunately, guns will always be available on the black market. I'm willing to bet a lot of the guns in criminals' possession were not acquired legally.

No, I don't. I would not know that you had a gun in your home anyway. The government would not confiscate firearms. They would implement a plan now, so the effects take place over time. (So no one would lose guns)

Imagine we don't enforce our borders, don't deport illegals that have committed felonies. We confiscate all weapons possessed by law abiding citizens. Let MS-13 grow to millions. You know what I do? I become a funeral director. Send my kids to school to learn embalming...I would be busy round the damned clock. Make a fortune...

Unfortunately this is the real world. Criminals will not stop committing crimes, and people will want to continue to defend themselves. I am no more of a threat to the population if I own 10 guns, instead of 1 or 2. The nutjob pulling the trigger is the threat, not the guns. If he can't acquire a gun, he will find other means. We can do away with the gadgets to make weapons fire automatically. That is progress. What you are calling for isn't realistic.

By the way, to all of the gun haters out there look up the gun law in Kennesaw, GA and what has happened to the crime rate since it was passed. Also, look up the gun laws in Chicago, IL and the crime rates since they were passed.
