I think it's a big deal, but I also think the GOP is spineless and will try to prop Trump up for as long as possible so long as he's helping them achieve their goals (which are, in a nutshell: lowering taxes for the wealthiest Americans, and hurting everybody else).

There simply is not enough there to impeach. It's a fact. If you've heard any of Comey's testimony, he has nothing to document any wrongdoing nor is he willing to outright say "Trump told me to drop the Flynn investigation." What you have a bunch of bad looks from Trump but nothing concrete. It's just ridiculous to think there's anything else.

comey says - mueller DID start an obstruction of justice investigation....something there
comey says - he considers trump's request to drop the flynn probe to be a directive....something there
comey says - it is up to mueller to decide if something is or is not obstruction..he wont step on his toes but that mueller Will look towards it in his opinion.
comey says he was fired because of the russia investigation....something there

add that trump " asked " at least 2 other intell directors to drop investigation
summary - inappropriately trying to get an investigation ended which can very very easily be called interference i.e obstruction.
............. - he fired yates after she looked into flynn.
.............. - comey was fired for not fullfilling trump's request about russia investigation
............... - trump asked others to leave room to ask comey to drop flynn showing improper intent and expectation

Nothing can be proven. What is so difficult to understand?

Investigations mean nothing.
Comey misunderstood what Trump meant.
Looking into obstruction is nothing more than a meaningless investigation.
Trump didn't say he was fired for the Russia investigation.

2 other intel directors also misunderstood.
Summary: Nothing there.

that is an excellent point......i do believe the evidence will grow and enough enough will flip....also....it might not be voted on until after the 2018 elections when the composition of congress will change.

I've said several times that I don't think impeachment is likely, mostly because the GOP will protect Trump as long as it benefits them politically.

Then why do you keep yammering on that "Trump is worried"? He's not. He's been doing under the table **** for years. He's insulated.

Nor do I believe he's like Obama sweating his legacy.

Did he "lean" on him? Feels more like a "Hey, man, cut Flynn some slack. He's a good dude." Done all the time in business. A little "look the other way" stuff. Comey will not say "Trump told me to end the Russia investigation." He won't. And, until that happens, there's nothing.
