cannot fire fbi under certain circumstances without reprecussions...if it is shown to be a deliberate act to impede an investigation..thats called obstruction and is impeachable.....also acts of instability can invoke the 25th amendment.......the govt is not mcdonalds.

Comey fired. Not a popular move with the Dems today even though they screamed for it 6 months ago(which certainly doesn't seem "independent" anything) but Comey is not working for the FBI. Done. Fired. Not getting the job back. At the hands of the PRESIDENT.

Not disputing Trump's ability to fire Comey, he can. But I will take issue with the whole "Dems wanted him fired before, now they're hypocrites" argument.

Comey ****** up when he release that letter about Weiner's computer and "new" emails days before the election. It was probably enough of a difference maker to swing the election in Trump's favor. Had Obama, right then, or Trump, immediately after the inauguration, fired him. No one would be complaining. But that isn't what happened. Trump only fired Comey after Comey wouldn't shut down the Russia investigation. That's a problem.

Sigh. Being investigated? Didn't that happen to Hillary? Was she jailed? Kicked out of the election? Slapped on the wrist? It's a process to determine wrongdoing. When all is said and done, it's Comey's word against Trump's. NOTHING will come of it. So clean up your wet dream and move on to some other Trump "scandal".

It's Comey's word and Trump's many words against Trump. He's admitted, in tweets and interviews, why he fired Comey.
