An increased police presence is alarming. It's increased for a reason. How many times do I have to say this? Is there a better way so you'll understand?

It could be alarming. If it made you think another attack was happening, you'd be alarmed.

But if you knew that the increased police presence was precautionary only, like how there is increased police presence when the President comes to town, you would not be alarmed. Or, at least, you wouldn't be as alarmed as you would be if you didn't know what was going on.

And, again, the point is Trump purposely took the statement out of context.
You're taking Trump out of context.

Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his "no reason to be alarmed" statement. MSM is working hard to sell it!

The excuse is that the mayor has NO PLAN to stop these attacks, only to react once the damage is done. What is he proactively doing to stop another Ariana Grande or London Bridge massacre from happening? Trump's whole point is at least Trump's trying to stop people that want to harm this country from getting into the country via a border wall and travel ban, yet like London, our politicians are too PC to actually take on terrorism.... Until that happens it's only going to get worse.
How am I taking Trump out of context?
Seriously??

A terrorist attack happens in 3 London locations, a couple weeks after a concert in London was blown up, and a week after the UK said another attack is imminent (meaning they have no way to stop it)..... And a politician comes out after more Brits have been killed and says don't be alarmed at the extra police in the area!!

I highly doubt people are alarmed about the extra police... In fact they probably welcome them.... THEY ARE ALARMED ABOUT ALL THE ******* TERRORISTS IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS AND THEIR POLITICIANS KEEP TELLING THEM NOT TO WORRY, IT'S ALL GOOD.

The fact that you're worried about a tweet from Trump and not terrorist attacks is alarming.
Who said I'm not worried about terrorism?
Have you made any posts about terrorism today? Or all about Trump and tweeting?

Do you not know what out of context means?
Please elaborate....

Can you show me where the London mayor said we're going to hunt and kill every last one of these terrorists and anyone who aspires to be like them?

I can show you where Trump has said - we need to bomb the **** out of them. We need to prosecute their families. We need to ban them from our country. Like it or not, that's being proactive and Trump has taken steps to make these things happen.

Saying don't be alarmed, we welcome everyone in our cities, is EXACTLY how it sounds to be PC and weak on terror....

My message to Londoners and visitors to our great city is to be calm and vigilant today. You will see an increased police presence today, including armed officers and uniformed officers. There is no reason to be alarmed by this. We are the safest global city in the world. You saw last night as a consequence of our planning, our preparation, the rehearsals that take place, the swift response from the emergency services tackling the terrorists and also helping the injured.

Yeah.... I believe everything this guy is saying^^^. Nothing to be alarmed at.

Anyone who doesn't explicitly condemn the terrorists is assumed to be a terrorist sympathizer!

Well the topic of this thread (that you started) is specific to why Trump is the worst president ever. Not terrorism.
Have you ever known a thread to stay on topic for more than a couple of pages? If you want to talk about why cities in Europe are a terrorist target seemingly weekly and American cities are not, you can.

OK, in an odd way, I see this point. The whole thread concept was predicated on Trump's actions.

Still.... an odd time to criticize a tweet when people are being killed.

I only have to go back a couple of pages to see talk of birds and nuclear energy. On-topic isn't our strength.

How does any of that show that I took Trump out of context?
I'm still waiting for you to demonstrate trump took the London mayor or of context.... GO!!!

Trump:
We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people. If we don't get smart it will only get worse?

At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!"?

Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his "no reason to be alarmed" statement. MSM is working hard to sell it!

And to put it all in context...

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Theresa May raised the country's terror threat level to "critical," signaling that intelligence services believe another attack is imminent.

They can't stop these massacres from happening.

This kinda reminds me of a good friend (groomsman at my wedding) who lives in a secure compound in war-torn Africa doing missionary work. When we asked him about his kids and their safety, he said "They're totally safe, we have armed security 24x7".

My response was, "That's kinda the point. We don't NEED armed security at my house."

Don't tell me "there's no reason to be alarmed" because there are extra cops collecting evidence and whatnot. WE SHOULD BE ALARMED that they're even needed.

(CNN)Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates have broken off relations with Qatar in the worst diplomatic crisis to hit Gulf Arab states in decades.

The three Gulf countries and Egypt have accused Qatar of supporting terrorism and destabilizing the region. Qatar -- which shares its only land border with Saudi Arabia -- has rejected the accusations, calling them "unjustified" and "baseless." Yemen and the Maldives also cut ties with Qatar.

Qatari citizens have been told they have 14 days to leave Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE, and those countries also banned their own citizens from entering Qatar.
