I've avoided saying this because I gave moy **** for saying it but Trump is going to have plausible deniability on his side. And someone will take the hit if it comes to that. Someone not named Donald Trump. So no matter what comes of this special investigation, it won't affect Trump's Presidency in any meaningful way. There's no reason to pretend it will.

That's just the fact of the matter.

You're making assumptions that might not necessarily be true. Trump's thing is control, being the guy who has his hand in everything. Based on that, it's difficult to believe that he allowed a wall (no pun intended) of plausible deniability to be built around him, that he didn't know or even orchestrate who was saying what or meeting with who on the other side. Delegation is not Trump's thing.

That's what brought Nixon down with Watergate. Personal involvement rather than having his people take care of things and intentionally keep him out of the loop for the sake of plausible deniability.

I already responded to the dumb **** Trump says. That actually seems to work in his favor.

He didn't role because he was facing no charge worse than contempt. Manafort and Flynn could be facing serious charges.

Trump has been manipulating laws to his benefit for far too long to get caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Hell, some of the dumb **** he's said is almost a buffer against being a mastermind of anything.

Trump has been surrounded by lawyers his entire life. He probably knows a thing or two about what he can and can't get away with.
